damn dawg ur gf is a raiderette? Lucky.........
Its been a while since Ive posted but Im always checking the board and I believe we have one of the smartest richest fan bases around. I feel like whenever I talk to a charger fan I get dumber lol Anyways this season is gonna have many bumps, up's and downs, and its important that we remember its just a game and that we are all raider fans at the end of the day. My expectations are very tempered this year and my gf who is a raiderette her expectations are the same way, she doesnt expect to be juming up and down too much during games over our defense. I feel like we talk to much about the what if we grab this guy or this guy, well lets be happy with who we have and what awesome talent is gonna come out of the draft. Miles Burris, and Criner are my favorites here. Anyway be safe out there have fun. Go Raiders![]()

Yeah its her first year on the squad so Ill look forward to not paying for tickets lol
Pic? Lol
We have blindly wandered and squandered enough. Change has come and it is good.
Remember what happened to our neighbors across the Bay.
2010: six and ten, 2011: thirteen and three.
Hmmm.....
what changed?
The Autumn Wind is changing direction.
Let's be honest here. Is this thread really about the Raiders? Looks more like a "Woo Hoo! I'm dating a Raiderette!" thread. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I expect a lot more. We have had back to back .500 seasons and a young core of talented players. We have stability in the coaching staff and a GM for the first time in what seems like forever. New scheme and all that should mean nothing. For the first time in my life the players have a reason to listen to and respect the coaches because for the first time in my life time the coaches have the say so in what we are doin on the field. I expect out offense to be much more efficient and our D to be more disciplined. I expect this team to be better than last years team. Only question I have is whether better means more wins. With our schedule this year it's possible we are a better team without a better record. But even with our schedule I expect us to be in the playoff hunt deep into the season. Dec should be an exciting month full of meaningful games for the Silver and Black.
lol no thats not what my post was about I was referencing the point that we have someone on the field designed to cheer for the raiders good or bad and even their expecatations arent high thats all I was saying. They just finished up with photo shoots but you can go to raiders.com and catch them. I wont drop her name on here but i can tell you shes one of the blondes. But my real point was the thread i started about us not getting too wraped up, Im on these boards every day especially during the season and ppl are always fighting over our team
i think i would have just started and ended this thread with "My girlfriend is a Raiderette(.)"
I call bullsh!t on low expectations too. Hue Jackson and company were a first year coaching staff with no offseason and all the regular encumbrances that came with working under Al. There were no excuses given to that coaching staff and our expections (generally) were that we should be competing for a division title. This season is no different. And this year we do have an offseason and we will have a better defense (we BETTER have an improved defense). In addition, is it likely we lose our star RB, QB, and 2/3 of our starting wr corps over the course of 3-4 games? I don't think so. With all the difficulties and wretched defense last year's team faced, they were still in it until the final quarter of the final game of the season. But this year we should expect to be worse. NO F'ING WAY. If that happens then it indicates failure from Reggie McKenzie all the way down to the ball boys.
It's true that we could be a better team than last year and finish .500. The same thing happened in Gruden's second season. But to write off the season as one in which we're just a work in progress is b.s. Things happen that can't be predicted and there's always at least one game a year where we get completely hosed by the refs. But barring the injury disasters of last year and assuming the defense will be better, this team should win ten games.
I'm not predicting 10-6, but the that's where expectations should be. There's a difference between predictions and expectations.. The former (predictions) make an absolute statement, the latter (expectations) sets a standard. Therefore we should expect 10-6.
