Considering we have not played a game I'm not to concerned either way. RM and DA will decide who plays and I'm good with their choice.

True but looking good in practice does not guarantee a start.

Yep that's how I see it too. I'm not concerned about Ford or anyone else acting out because I feel that RM and DA will handle anything like that accordingly and it will get squashed one way or another before it becomes a team issue.

Maybe diva is the wrong word. "Childish"? "Immature"? He was practically whining...

At the end of the day I don't really give a **** as long as he produces on the field...but that's just my take on his personality. It's not like he's a Randy Moss or anything...

I mentioned this earlier. The Raiders want Jacoby Ford to get as many reps as possible in the Slot. When Moore got hurt the sensible thing was to promote his backup, Streater, than move Ford over (thereby losing reps in the Slot) and reshuffle the offense. It was mini-camp. During the season it may, or may not, be a different situation.

Dont read too much into it.

Not saying either that I don't believe you, just that your argument is somewhat weak when we know nothing about how credible your source is and the details of your relationship with him or her. Generally, if I can't name a name then I won't say anything at all.
    What a ridiculous notion!

So, we are supposed to give the name of the source on a public forum. Next you will want their email address and contact numbers.

It is for this reason that I hardly provide information I am given unless it is something that is likely to happen a few hours after I post it.

The other reason is all the negative comments you get for posting what you are told. People don't like to hear news that does not sit well with them. So, instead of taking it for what it's worth, they shoot the messenger. And, when the info turns out to be correct, people disappear. No apology. Nothing.

We will see how this plays out. However, I think it is funny that before this year people wanted players to earn their spots on the roster. Apart from a handful of good plays, Ford has not done a lot and is pretty inconsistent. He has to earn his spot on the offense and his playing time. Dennis Allen and Greg Knapp want to see what he can do in the Slot, so let's see. If he does not work out there (and I have my doubts due to lack of size), he then probably gets stuck behind DHB, Moore, and whoever is the Slot WR on the Depth Chart. For the first time in a while there is genuine competition at the WR spot.

I know, right? Apart from making game-breaking plays when he's healthy, the kid has done ****ing nothing. Nothing!

I don't even know why he's on the roster when we drafted some kids who haven't played a down in the NFL.

Ford is a great asset to the offense and special teams. I have heard nothing negative about him. I am sure he will be on the team in 2012.

This is your opinion Mo which is worth as much as mine which is zero, the only reason I even know who Ford is is because he plays for the Raiders. All I care about is his production on the field, that's it that's all. The fact that some fans think he is a diva is their business. RM and DA will decide If he plays or does not play not some fan. I wish he was Randy Moss because Moss is headed for the HOF.

I agree all this fan diva bullsh!t is a joke around here. I can't wait for the season to start so we can talk about what is going on instead of making up sh!t to talk about and calling it fact.

Worst case is he was sad he lost one of his better friends on the team and he was still a little immature and let it bother him more than it should. I'm not sure that's grounds for tarring him with the "diva" label. Kids overreact to **** all the time and say things they shouldn't, but they usually rebound quickly and get over it. I wouldn't worry about it, honestly. He and Palmer were on the same page before he went out with an injury, so IMO, it's not a problem and never was.

I am not discounting what anyone has said about Ford being a diva, or childish, but in new regime none of last year matters. McClain is facing gun charges and is being given a clean slate, so I would imagine rest of team is too.

I personally expect all WRs to have a bit of a diva attitude, it is kind of a me me position. However, in same token I don't expect Raiders new regime to deal with stuff like diva attitude especially if they're not producing.

Yeah, but this is a fan opinion forum for fans to voice their opinions about the Oakland Raiders. Nothing we say here about ANYTHING is worth much of anything, but we all post anyway.

Like I said I love him as a player, I think he's one of our most dangerous weapons and I'd be really surprised if doesn't start. Anyone that thinks he's getting benched for a rookie because of an attitude problem is probably mistaken. But he's a diva.
