Mohammed Haroon Ali, 37, was convicted of first-degree murder by a San Mateo County jury in March. It was the second time he had been found guilty of the 1999 slaying. His first conviction was thrown out on appeal. I am so glad Fred and Angela finally got some closure on this, should have been life without IMO. This killer could be paroled in 27 years.

Now the tax payers of the already broke state of insanity known as California have to pay for this cold-blooded killer's food and lodging(however meager it may be)for the rest of his life.
I and we all are in no position to judge but if I had my way, those that have willful and careless disregard for another's life would not be allowed to continue with their own.
Just my thoughts. Over and out.

Where did you hear the 27 years from? Violent convictions do not qualify for half time credit, a violent crime such as murder would only qualify the defendant for 85% which would be about 47 years. In addition, I could also be wrong, but I believe the MEPD of 55 years can not be shortened with good time credit, so in this case, he could not go in front of the parole board until 55 years.

I know how Fred feels and I symphathize with his pain. My wife and I also had a daughter who was murdered. The coward in our case got 25 to life and from everything I understand he can't go in front of the parole board for 25 years. Anyone who says the justice system works is misinformed because he gets to spend his time in a protective custody prison where general population inmates can't get to him so he doesn't have to live with the fear of looking over his shoulder. I wouldn't be surprised if Mohammed gets the same treatment. California loves protecting scum of the earth. I say let em in general population and if someone gets them it just saves us tax payers from having to pay the rest of their lives.

I can't imagine the pain that your family or Freddy's family feel. I have two girls and it would just destroy me. Thanks for sharing.

Former Raiders star Fred Biletnikoff called his daughter's twice-convicted killer an "animal" Thursday before the man was sentenced to 55 years to life in prison for the 1999 murder. Defendant Mohammed Haroon Ali, with his head bowed and clad in orange jail clothes, was motionless as San Mateo County Superior Court Judge Barbara Mallach handed down the penalty for Tracey Biletnikoff's slaying at a San Mateo drug treatment center. "There will never be any closure for me," said the Hall of Famer and former coach during his victim-impact statement. "My hatred for Ali will never go away."

I am so sorry. The death of an innocent child is something no parent should have to endure.

My thoughts exactly, why let this guy live at the taxpayers expense.
