You know, the more I think about it the more wonder if the trade for Palmer was better than we could've imagined. If not Palmer, a veteran, who -- Leinart? Who was available? No way that Reggie could've even considered a $20mil hit for Manning so that leaves Campbell, Flynn, McNabb, Grossman and Orton. As the Raiders likely would've been out of the running for Flynn because of financial issues, that left a resigning of Campbell, a reliance on Orton or Leinart to start, or a selection of and reliance on Weeden at 17. Am I missing anything? The more I think about it, the more glad that I am that the Raiders have Palmer, right here, right now. Not saying that he's the second coming of Brady or Montana, just that he's clearly the best out of all available options -- this was going through Hue's mind big time as he considered the trade.

    Ya, I'm kinda slow.
