More red meat for homers........That said I like him as a player....just don't like hype
True he hasnt proven to be a superstar he has been pretty good but not a superstar. But I sure am looking forward to what he can do in a new defense. It was pretty tough for a S to be a superstar in this day in age in the defense we employed. Hopefully his skills can be better utilzed now and just maybe he has the ability to became a superstar. But hey time will tell.

RIP Al Davis you will forever be in our memories. I know I was very critical of you but I always have and always will appreciate all you accomplished as a RAIDER!! I will root no more or no less for the Raiders and be no more or no less a Raiders fan now that you are gone.

I really like Tyvon but superstar is a bit of a stretch. If he can show more consistency and show that he's able to takeover games with leadership and genuinely be someone the offense has to gameplan for every game, then I would say Tyvon belongs in that class. For now the only safeties I know that can do that are Polamalu and Ed Reed.

Don't get me wrong though, the way he's shut down some of these TEs and held up in run support has been amazing. But once he's able to become an all around better safety in zone and man coverage there's no ceiling for this guy. I think our new defense is going to really bring out the best in these players. They're going to get every opportunity to make plays and believe me, if they don't make plays, someone else will

Journalism is a lot like salesmanship.......A salesman might say "Your a pretty smart guy and you look really good in that car"....The salesman might actually dislike you and the car, but he'll try to keep you thinking that long enough to take your money...A writer might not like the Raiders, but if his headline reads "2012 genius Raiders look to field all time great team", you know whose pocket book he's going after...

The Tyvon article had some good points but "Superstar" is a bit much, hyperbole..

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Tyvon return a kick for a touchdown that called back like 2 seasons ago? Also didn't he have a couple (I remember one, I think) of kick returns that almost went the distance????

Are those the distinguishing accomplishments that define one as a superstar?

Well he also sat two tables away from Tom Brady at a charity event I hear. Good enough for me.

It's meant to be a hyperbole...
