    Prediction thread: Offense

Since it's been boring here on this site lately I wanna see what are your people's predictions for our players on offense!

    Here are mine
    CP3- 4,200 yds 32 tds 14 int 68-70% comp
McFadden- 1,800-2,050 yds(assuming he stays healthy all year) 15 tds, 40 rec 500 rec yds 7 tds
    Goodson- 400 yds 5 td's
    Jones- 500 yds 5 td's
    Dhb- 70-80 rec 1,300 yds 10 td's
    Moore- 60-65 rec 900-1,050 8 td's
    Ford- 50 rec 800 yds 7 td's and 3-5 kick return td's as well
    Criner-25-40 rec 400-500 yds 5 td's

Some of them seem a bit out of reach but I think it's doable what about you guys?

How many games will they win for us?
    Lose for us?

Wow you really have high hopes.

    Ill guess
    Palmer 3800 yards 23 TD 15 INT
    DMC 1200 yards 8 TD
    DHB 1050 yards 5 TD
    Moore 850 yards 8 TD
Ford 700 yards 4 TD (plus 2 return or rushing TDs)

    Team predictions
We end up middle of the pack in penalties against.
We end up around 20th in total defense
10-15 range in total offense (top 10 if Palmer somehow really tears it up)
We make the playoffs whether it's a wildcard or division title.

All I can say is the offense will be dynamite, as long as Knapp doesn't go all vanilla on us.

The defense is what worries me, but I think they'll be better than last year.

This looks more like what we are hoping for rather than what we will expect.

Lets assume health, first and foremost, which is a huge question mark of course.
    Palmer - 4200 yards, 29 touchdowns, 13 interceptions
    DBH - 1450 yards, 11 touchdowns. 450 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns
    Jones/Goodson - 650 yards, 5 touchdowns
    Moore - 1100 yards, 8 touchdowns
    DBH - 1050 yards, 6 touchdowns
    Ford - 650 yards, 2 touchdowns
    Criner - 600 yards, 5 touchdowns
    Ausberry/Meyers - 300 yards 4 touchdowns

Not sure if these numbers added up, but a general expectation

Palmer had 2,700+ yards last year in 9.5 games coming off the couch. I don't see a reason why he can't pass for 4,500 considering all the WR's are improving too.

Palmer will have a minimum of 20 picks. He has always been a turnover prone qb. No reason to think it won't happen in a new offense

20 is a high number even for a turnover prone player. a knapp offense is not going to be some mike martz-esque offense. its going to have a lot of running plays, playaction, and rollout base throws which are often pretty safe so long as you dont throw across your body

if palmer throws for 4k, then it means we're playing from behind, which one could assume means we still have a turnover issue

no more than 25 picks, no less than 18
    27 TD's 22 picks, 4100 yards.

dmac will miss atleast 3 games with some sort of "hamstring" issue
    1300 yards, 9 TD's

my main concern is the defense, will it rise to a respectable level with a new scheme?

When you are historically bad there's no way to go but up. I expect the defense to be somewhat improved but by how much is anyone's guess as even with a modern scheme there are still some positional deficiencies and a lack of depth but we have seen groups play above their talent levels in the past under good coaching.

As for the offense if Palmer starts 14-16 games and throws 15 or less interceptions it should be a very good year on the offensive side of the ball.

Well heres a look at the likely top players on offense-

    QB Palmer
    TB Dmac
    FB Reece
    TE Ausberry/Myers
    WR DHB
    WR Moore
    Slot-Ford
    LT Veldheer
    LG Carlisle
    C Wiz
    RG Brisiel
    RT Barnes

Barring injury, we should move the ball and score points, most defenses can't hang with that group of skill position players and a veteran QB that can make all the throws.

Palmer 32 TD 14 int! If that happens I might buy a jersey! and would definately start a crow eating thread...
Maybe RFN needs a forum called "Homers gone wild".
Or did cocaine influence this thread?

Those things happen and we go deep in the playoffs........

The offense is going to be dynamite???

Has Knapp ever produced a dynamite offense before, where he was in charge of everything?
