Why would someone also tag up or sell drugs in the neighborhood they claim to love? I don't think logic and gang banging go hand in hand.

Team rep: Hell No. That was established beyond debate in Oakland.

Bad fan rep... LA definitely enhanced that.

This and the Rebels of Oakland tells the whole story. BTW all these guys were still the same today. Phil V, Snake, Skip (RIP), the list goes on and on No Question the Team Bad Boy Image started in Oakland anyone who disagrees is just too young to remember or are in denial.

I think it was quite obvious in the OP. For those questioning your age...I guess it wasn't

It knocked Namath's helmet flying, and broke his jaw, but Namath didn't miss a play, and he threw for 370 yards and three TD's in that 38–27 loss. (Raiders Victory)

Glad to see this story in print. I've told it a couple of times and each time I tell it it seems a little less believable.

In order to be a bad ass you need to compete and prove yourself against other bad ass teams and players. Namath was bad ass.

Another bad ass, Hewritt Dixon used to club tacklers with his free arm. once delivered a vicious uppercut and was called for a personal foul. I've heard Shula tell the same story about Csonka, and claim that he's the first and only....not true.
Dude, you get a rep for mentioning the first Raider player I admired - Hewritt Dixon. Those were the days, baby!

all that matters is us..the nation..

what we feel who we are...we know the truth...

others will take everything roll it into one view and go with it picking what they can to talk smack...its sports ..its what fans do..

alot of people talk smack about our rep..but i tell you..each one wishes they were apart of this gangster or not...look at the players that come in and all of them say the same thing...i wanted to be apart of the nation ..the silver and black..

in this new era of Raider football..i believe the cream is rising to the top...

the idiots will disappear...in due time...and the old school tuff Raiders will still be here standing tall...
