There was an article posted stating the Inside triangle' key to every team's 1st- and 2nd-down success on D. If we control the triangle then we will be impossible to stop and if you focus on the interior you see we have the line to dominate. Let's look at the interior of our offensive line and with this article in mind we have the makings of a top 3 offense this year IMO.
LG - Bergstrom who ProFootballWeekly calls the top zone blocking guard in the draft and was projected at LG. He played LG in the Senior Bowl and played very good against some of the top projected DLine in the draft. If he plays to the ability that he has (which I expect he will) he is going to be a VERY good LG and is powerful enough to dominate at the point of attack and just what we need.
C - WizII is going to be a damn good Center. He filled in some last year at center and was dominate even in the power scheme. Wiz played very well regardless of being at LG or C last year and at 304lbs he is heavier and more powerful than Myers but just as quick so we will have a better version of the interior 3 than the Houston Texans have had the last few years IMO.
RG - Brisel was one of the Texans better players on Oline. If you look at games last year their bread & butter were runs to the right and that testifies to what this RG can do.
Video on Texas ZBS which is what we will be running; notice #65 who is now our starting RG is dominating at the point of attack for the bread & butter of their offense. - X's and O's: 2010 Run Game
Another video showing how the long runs occur (unfortunately it shows against our boys) very imformative - X's and O's: Benton breaks down long runs
The better question is ‘what are the reasons I wouldn’t take this job.’ I mean, I’ll be here…yall won’t eat dinner tonight with all the reasons I have to take this job. Guys, this is where I came from. I’m back home now. I’m back home. - Reggie McKenzie
