    Nice, thanks for sharing!

    Some points that stood out:

-Became friends with Dennis Allen while working with him for the Falcons in 2004 & 2005.

-Will line DMC up at x & y receiver. Will rotate RB frequently to keep DMC healthy.

-Wants to impart balance & consistency. Wants to limit penalties. Heavy focus on field position (IE-will punt on 4th & inches).

-Wants to be a head coach in the NFL someday (I hope this comes true, since it would mean he did a great job in 2012)

******* Damn, I wish someone would ask Knapp about how Al Saunders is helping exactly.
John Madden:They've got a ways to go. He was playing the game without a full deck. To be honest, they don’t have enough players. The cupboard was pretty bare. It would have been tough to do much more than what they did. If he’s going to do well, they gotta get a lot more … some teams need a quarterback or a running back, or a pass rusher … . The Raiders need a whole barrel of guys!

    Cool

    Mr Knapp

You didn't develop Vick..Andy Reid did along with a friend in Mcnabb
You worked with Matt Shaub but Kubuak made him into a pro bowl calibur QB
Mr Davis didn't like you, screw this up and the younger will grow dislike you as well.
Youv'e been apart of success but not the driving force behind it

Everything is peaches and cream right now, when september rolls will see if Mckenzee and Allens faith is well placed

Not a fan of the 2 back rotation... We all know McFadden is the type of runner where it takes a lot of caries for him to get going & eventually break the big one. He's had his best years as a Raider when he's been continuously fed the ball rather than being switched out constantly like he was with with Bush in 08/09. I don't buy the injury argument either, those were freak accidents which weren't caused by fatigue.

Here's a snip from Cork's chat that addresses the question, FYI:

    Comment From kfjay
What has Al Saunders role been during the off season now that he is no longer the OC?

Steve Corkran: He's real hands on at the practices, helping out in a multitude of ways.

im not sure how the rotation will actually go but id be happy if DMC gets at least 18-20 carries and 3-5 catches basically an average of 23 touches..i think if DMC can prove he can stay healthy they would use him more like arian foster..he gets like 25+ touches minimum per game sometimes even more

Thought it was a great interview - Knapp sounds like a really good guy. Pro coaches are so intense and articulate, I am seldom not impressed when I hear these guys get interviewed.

His comment when asked how the Raiders environment had changed since his last stint - "Impressed with how McKenzie is focused on building a team from the draft up, DA's coaching philosophy, totally different the infrastructure has changed 180 degrees which hopefully allows for long, enduring success here."

I agree - not a fan of the hiring. But I trust Dennis Allen so more than willing to wait and see how it pans out. The sky isn't falling by any means with the Knapp hiring... BUT, the offense in my opinion WILL decline.

Regardless of what people thought of Hue as a HC, he was a great offensive mind. Maybe a little too agressive, but tell me it wasnt exciting?

If the defense was just slightly better, we would have won at least 2 -3 more games. He had the offense rolling.... And I loved his deamenor as an offensive minded coach.

As pointed out in the interview, knapp will be the opposite - punting on 4th and inches, etc. Dennis Allen seems like a conservative guy, so I'm sure he'll be happy with that decision. But man, with Hue on 4th and inches, you had NO idea what to expect.... It failed sometimes - But the offense was top 10 overall and rarely cost us the games.

It's going to be a drastic change IMO.... Hopefully the team adapts well..

I am giving this coaching staff a clean slate. If you look at Knapp's career, he has had success as an OC in the NFL. Was he successful his one stint in Oakland? I think there was mixed results and I don't think anyone can say the team performed any better without him with the same personnel. I happen to agree with giving McFadden less touches. I like the rotation idea. I still think he will get between 20 to 25 touches a game. Before he got hurt last year, I thought that they should have been using Bush more in order to give McFadden some rest. The fact is, we do not know if he can carry the load for an entire season because he has never really been healthy for an entire season. If you take the work load from last year and extend that over an entire season, would he have been as effective at the end of the year as he was at the beginning? We don't know that. I would like a fresh and healthy McFadden an entire season. He will get his touches and there will be plenty of them for him to be effective. The season is a marathon not a sprint and I think the team needs to be managed that way. I also think that the offense will be flexible enough to adapt to the strengths of the personnel. It is only May, so making any conclusions now doesn't make much sense.

From the mini camp photos is looks like AS is kind of like DAs personal offensive assistant. You always notice him right next tp DA. I think hes helping a defensive coach learn the offense from a head coaches POV.

Hue's O was exciting in the 1st half and the 2nd half it was sad. We lost games because of our ability to close people out, not just because of our D, but because Hue would switch up to this run run pass BS in the 2nd half. Id have to look but the 4th quarter of last year was an offensive desert if I remember correctly.

Raiders struggling to score points in 4th quarter

Punting on 4th and inches? Seriously? We can't do a QB sneak or an ISO? Unless we're backed up into our own red zone, punting in that situation doesn't sound like the Raider way.
