Raiders HC Dennis Allen facing challenge on Defense

    >> Read article Here <<

The Raiders’ cornerbacks will have to adapt quickly if they expect to have even remote success on defense. Defensive coordinator Jason Tarver will have to allow Van Dyke and Chekwa to play through mistakes and learn on the fly in a division where throwing the ball will occur early and often.

Thanks for the link, Jimi. I'm a little confused about this, though:

Raiders head coach Dennis Allen has installed his version of the 3-4 defense
Did I miss something? I thought we were mostly running a 4-3?

this writer is clueless. Raiders are running a base 4-3 with some 3-4 looks and even if we did noway Seymour would anchor the line. He'd play DE with Tommy Kelly getting the majority of snaps at NT.

no you didn't miss anything. His version of the 3-4 is the 4-3
We want to win. The Raider fans deserve it. The Raider players deserve it, even my organization deserves it. You have to win and you have to win with a vision for the Super Bowl. That's our passion here. - Al Davis

It's just another example of the internet making sports writers obsolete. About 90% of the time fans now know the team better and get their information before the sports writers do.
