I don't see us going after a QB next year with Pryor but who knows. If things don't pan out with what we have then 2014 might be a more accurate guess

Chris from York, Pa., wants to know if I think the Raiders could draft a franchise-type quarterback next year.
BW: I think they really could. Carson Palmer will be 33 in December. Regardless if Palmer has a strong season, Oakland could consider it. Right now, the big names to watch are Matt Barkley of USC and Landry Jones of Oklahoma and I’m sure other top prospects will emerge. It will be interesting to see this situation develop. But, as of now, I could see why Oakland would be on the list of teams considering adding a top-flight rookie quarterback in 2013. Of course, if 2011 supplemental draft pick Terrelle Pryor develops at a rapid pace, all bets would be off.

Both of those QBs will be gone before we pick #32 in the second RD.
The better question is ‘what are the reasons I wouldn’t take this job.’ I mean, I’ll be here…yall won’t eat dinner tonight with all the reasons I have to take this job. Guys, this is where I came from. I’m back home now. I’m back home. - Reggie McKenzie

Getting a franchise QB for the future will be what makes or breaks Reggie. As soon as he has the chance to get the guy he wants, he will go for it. Could be next year, the year after, or at latest the year after that. Think Reggie gets at most 2 chances at this QB of the future thing.
Highly unlikely IMO.
Two years from now at the earliest. Well be building defense for sure next year. Be looking for missing parts of Allens defense and Kelly/ Seymour's replacements.
why is 33 old!! Brady was 34 last yer and does anyone think he is done! Steve young was 33 when the niners won in 1994, Plunkett was 33 in 1980 all of those guys had 4-5 great years left in them when they hit 33. Staubach was 33 in 1975, 35 when he won a super bowl.

Stop it,let's be optimistic about Pryor.I think he has a good chance. He has shown that he wants to work,he asked Gannon to help him with his foot movement. He is young and is fast.Am I the only one who thinks this?
Things would really have to go very bad this year for this to be a consideration. My guess we will continue to build the back 7 on the D and the O Line.

That's what I was thinking....
on my Madden 2010 I traded Palmer to Raiders in my franchise and he is still QB and i am in 2019 season LOL
But really, we should be set for QB for the next few years.

If this year goes bad with CP this is what I see happening. What better way to start a new regime than to draft a QB in the first round? I think he would want his guy and a guy that could play for many years. It's perfect actually. We are very talented already. We get a franchise QB, and with the remaining picks, continue to build. The chance that he drafts his own guy is higher than any other possibility.
