Professional Sports Stadium, Arena, Venue built, and just get any new additions to a Stadium, Arena, Venue? Because 3 of the the 4 oldest NFL stadiums in the entire league are all in California, and Yes i'm completely aware of the fact, recent news that the 49ers finally broke ground on a new stadium in Santa Clara, but still, the fact it took this long shows California is definetley unlike elsewhere, anywhere else.
Thats why L.A. is still without an NFL team, why the Raiders left Oakland temporarily in the first place and thats why the Raiders moved back to Oakland in the first place, and why the Rams moved to St. Louis, and there are still rumors of the Raiders moving back to L.A.
Also, the Chargers have been trying to get a new stadium built for a while too, and it's the same-thing for MLB, 3 of the 5 oldest MLB stadiums are all in California, that being the Dodgers, Angels, A's.
So, what gives? what is the specific, logical reason why? Why did the Coliseum Commission betray Al Davis, they promised Al Davis some renovations to the Coliseum in L.A. but they never fulfilled that promise, why? how come? Now don't get me wrong, i'm glad the Raiders are back in Oakland where they belong, but L.A. should at least have the Rams, or a different NFL team so that way the fans down there don't always have to commute to San Diego or up to the Bay Area all the time to see the Raiders play or their favorite NFL team play. So why is California like this?

Because California is broke, broke, broke.

And the cities where the teams are located are broke, broke, broke.

Also, sports are not as big of a deal from what I hear to residents in California. There are way more things to do in California than there are in Oklahoma for example. Hell, Los Angeles isn't even that concerned with getting a new team, because the support is not there.
I live I Los Angeles, and although I'd like a franchise to ............oh, snap! There goes another bikini.

Anyone whos been to Alabama can testify to this. Crimson Tide sells more merchandise than any team bar none. I thought my Army buddy was crazy. Then I visited the state and 9/10 people had a hat or shirt.
thats what happens when you give the state's checkbook to the Terminator...
Jerry Brown wants to weaken the states environmental laws to allow more big projects. If you know anything about California politics you know how pro-business the new Jerry is. The state is a more extreme version of the rest of the country in terms of a widening gap between the rich and the poor. Brown is now calling upon the rich to help balance have budget thru higher taxes on them. Agree or not, the state is in deep trouble and a long ways from recovery. Personally I love my sports teams but object to my money being used to build playgrounds for rich owners and millionaire players. I would pay for a very small amount over what tickets I buy to build a new yard.
