    Dennis Allen predictions

What kind of coach do you think he's gonna be?

How far do we go with DA?

Will he be a good leader?

This thread is just to mainly speculate... not based on facts because I know he hasn't even coached a down in his career yet as a HC.

I think based on his track record (short as it is) in Denver, and the comments I've read by former teammates, he's going to be one heck of a coach. It may take a couple years but discipline will be seen in Oakland, and our defense will improve over time.

I would predict you'll see an increase in the number of profile names who want to play for the Raiders, much like in the Chucky (the good one) era.

I predict we will have some problems. Some aspects of the offense or defense not going so well. But I also predict we'll see effective course corrections within the current constraints of the cap situation. If we're failing on the d-line, we can't just go out and bring in high performance replacements, for example. Some of these corrections will take time (a couple years or more). That's just the reality of a limited budget. But we won't continue down the same path over and over if it isn't working.

I predict at least one person will tell me these are extremely vanilla predictions, and they'd be right.

Want a more concrete one: we're in the playoffs in 2013. Book it. Maybe this year, but my gut feel is we'll be there no doubt next year.

One thing is for sure, he'll get a fair chance and he'll be here longer than a year.

    I predict...

every time we lose a game no matter how, half the fanbase will call for his head...
every time we win a game no matter how, half the fanbase will claim him to be the next Sean Payton...

I think he's going to bomb.

He's going to have a flat tire coming out of the gate.

We'll probably suffer through our most embarassing season ever.

Disclaimer: a little reverse psychology in play here.

I hope for the best, unfortunately, not prepared for the worst.

My expectations are over the top, so ... .

I think he has a better chance of succeeding than any coach we have had in the last 25-30 years simply because of the infrastructure of the front office now. The coach for the first time in a long time will be able to do things his way. I loved Al but he had his faults and I think that was one of them. He didnt allow the coach enough autonomy IMO. If DA fails for once we cant say it was because Al stepped in.

IMO i think Allen is going to do for us what Harbaugh did for the niners, from the front office to the coaches we FINALLY now have competent modern day individuals running the organization and I can't think of a single improvement that is more promising than that!

I like him because unlike our last coach, he isn't a Rah-Rah type of guy, i feel like Hue talked more about what he was gonna do then he actually did it. I think he is a great fit, and like the poster above me said, a lot of his success will be because of the changes in the front office of this organization, im excited.

    Lol so true!

The good thing is that he'll get a better chance than most every coach in the last 20 years.

He will get football players to work with, he'll get to run his schemes and won't have to worry about them getting changed on gameday. One thing is for sure, he has a clear cut path cut for him and there should be no reason for excuses being that he was able to pick his own staff.

I think we will grab 7 to 9 wins this season.

The thing I don't want is the shell, kiffin, Jackson speeches before and after the games about how hard our guys are working but we never really see on the field. I'll be impressed when we start smashing the teams that we should and stop letting teams come back on us in the last seconds. (I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the lions game )

Same here, I agree with probably 80% of the moves made so far.....I havn't always been able say that....
not that I think were making the playoffs this season...I do think were building a team fundimentally correct in regards to players who fit the mold of the system and are more financially sound. The lack of early draft picks and cap money has effected what were putting on the field this year. Things will get a little better each year....
That said I love putting TWT in predicticon threads..

I agree with you 100%! He will not have any excuses if his plan for this team goes south. Having said that, IMO he will be given enough time to make sure his schemes succeed. As for that Lions game..... I have a co-worker who is from Detroit, and I STILL can't talk to him.
New GM, new HC, new direction, I'm all in!
