But c'mon, Brown? I mean, it'd be great if the guy can play but successfully moving from a school like Brown to the NFL is beyond doubtful. Since 2000, there have been exactly 3 players who have played in the NFL -- Zak DeOssie, Chas Gessner and Sean Morey -- and none have started a single game. How anyone thinks that this guy will come anywhere near sniffing the roster come opening day is beyond me. Of course though, it'd be fantastic were I to be proved wrong and he made everyone forget names like Brady and Manning.

I guess I got too wrapped up in conveying that Leinart is a lousy sack of sh1t loser who has done Ryan Leaf-esque bad in the NFL (only difference is he has not attacked a reporter)


Any way... It should be noted that I have no reason to be excited about Kyle Newhall-Caballaro.

I am latching on to the potential for a "better than average brain" as a hope stemming from the obvious (Ivy League pedigree).

In the interest of honesty, what I guess I am hopeful in is merely the 4th F-ing QB on the Raiders roster today

In my opinion, the only person who would be "content" with Matt Leinart as our backup QB to Carson Palmer is
a.) A Super Raider Optimist whose Raider love is blinding them to ability to see things like FACT and LOGIC (Lord knows we got some of those.)
b.) Matt Leinart himself (or Matt's family member)
c.) A fool.

The point?

Give me Scott Bakula from Necessary Roughness (Hell... Kathy Ireland even).

Anyone but Leinart to hope for.
