Thanks for posting this. Do you see/hear the word "SORRY" or "I MADE A MISTAKE" or "I BROKE NCAA RULES" in any of this. Do you see him taking BLAME? No, it is how he feels. It is how he now has to struggle.

I do not "hate the kid" at all. I want to see repentence. I do not see any repentence in anything he says. I feel sorry for his situation with his parents, but do not use that as an excuse, either. There are many, many people isn the same or worse situations who do not breake rules.

Trust me, I have it on an authority, if he provided and APOLOGY instead of EXCUSES his supsension would have been less or non-existant. I do not like some of Goodall's decisions but he judges people by their word and their repentance. Pryor has never shown true repentance.

Pete Carroll's repentence? Rothlesberger's repentence? Sure he was sorry he was caught but he never admitted to the multiple rapes and still denies it funny how he was punished less than Pryor...

Lets see these QUARTERBACK busts. Exhibit A and Exhibit B

You can go ahead and call Tim Tebow a bust at quarterback, (maybe not as football player)

But Tim Tebow is extremely white, gets his haircuts at Supercuts and Greatclips , His part of the church, very blessed, gives back to the community, doesnt Cuss, does not have tatoos, speaks very fluently, and is a very humble person , and most importantly IS NOT LAZY AND HAS A GREAT WORK ETHIC.

The reason he " busts " is because of the talent , its just not there. He isnt born with it, as other players are blessed with it.

Look at Jamarcus Russell, yes i know a lot of people loved him, (I remember the thread about what his nickname should be)

We saw jamarcus up close and personal ,

Jamarcus work ethic was not there, you can bearly understand when he talks, cares more about his BLING BLING and his DUBS and his PURPLE DRANK than football. He had a drug addiction, he hanged around Criminals in a a drug ring. And alot of analysts knew it was a risk with him.

And for the sake of the argument ill state the obvious , OFCOURSE HE IS BLACK!!!

He was born with all this!!!! Its in his Genetics!! in his DNA, right down on his spine!!!!

I think it is unlikely that Pryor will develop into a quality starting QB in the NFL. I cannot think of a third round pick who I thought was likely to develop into a quality NFL starting QB. Obviously some 3rd rounders (or lower) have become quality starters, it is just unlikely. Pryor could do it too, I just think it is unlikely. That's not racist, it just makes sense. If just one GM thought it was likely that he would develop into a quality starter then he would not have lasted until the third round in the supplemental draft.

So yes, I have doubts about Pryor. I also hope he erases those doubts. It appears that he will work hard enough, so the question is "will hard work be enough?" Plenty of guys have physical ability and work hard and yet they never develop into quality players.

There are others here on this board who feel the same way I do and become frustrated when racism is pointed to as a reason for doubt. As in all facets of society, there are also some on this board with racist views and those people may believe Pryor will never be any good because he is black. I'm sure there are also a few who believe Palmer is not any good because he is white. Nobody on this board is going to rehabilitate a true racist. Just make a reasonable argument about football and let it stand on its own merits. I happen to believe that the vast majority on here are fair-minded people without racist views.

How do you deal with someone you think is racist? Don't bother. There is nothing wrong with letting someone with a clearly flawed argument have the last word - having the last work does not make them right. Reasonable people don't need to see anyone refute a clearly flawed and biased argument. Don't assume that everyone is unreasonable or racist. And don't feed the troll.
