I didn't want any changes to the Raiders jersey and I'm happy there was close to none. Raider uniforms are as recognizable as Yankee pin stripes. IMO, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
from the new DMac pic on the raider facebook page...it looks like they actually did change the fabric...

Nike Store. Oakland Raiders NFL Football Jerseys, Apparel and Gear. prices of the 3 tiers of jerseys. Looks like the cheapest jersey we will be able to buy is 100$ it looks pretty cool imo.
The look more fitted...maybe they didn't change the fabric, but there is stitching in the shoulders that wasn't there before. They are going to start fitting like the other uniforms it seems. Frankly, I thought all NFL jerseys used the same fabrick. I think you folks are referring to the cut of the jersey, no?

Nah Nike is throwing in their high tech ish into the jerseys. I attached some info below:
"The Denver Broncos have chosen to take full innovation in the Nike Elite 51 football uniform. The Broncos design aesthetic will stay true to years past while updating the color-blocking in the neckline in order to accommodate the Flywire technology to reduce weight and provide a lockdown fit over the pads. Designed and engineered from the inside out, the new uniform focuses on creating a system where the baselayer, padding, jersey and pant work in concert. A few of the new innovations include increasing sleeve articulation for better range of motion and integrating new four-way stretch fabrication to provide a streamlined shrink-wrap fit."
"Key features of the Nike Elite 51 uniform include:
LIGHTER - The Nike jersey and pant, wet or dry are lighter than previous versions
FLYWIRE TECHNOLOGY - Eliminates layers, reduces weight, and provides lockdown fit
ZONED MESH VENTILATION – Provides cooling zones for optimal thermoregulation
ZONED STRENGTH - High tenacity, stretch material, for lightweight lockdown strength.
CUT FOR MOBILITY – Four-way stretch, hydrophobic materials enable range of motion wet or dry.
STRETCH TWILL NUMBERS – Four-way stretch even on numbering system
CUSTOMIZABLE BASELAYER PADDING – Nike Pro Combat Hyperstrong baselayer with integrated lightweight, Deflex padding offering customizable flexible protection.
DEFLEX PADDING - Lightweight, flexible impact protection integrated into top “hit zone” areas
ALUMINUM D-RING BELT - Aircraft-grade aluminum D-ring belt reduces weight."

Yeah, I mean I can understand wanting to avoid major or even minor changes to the overall look of the Raiders uniform. The Silver and Black is iconic, I get it. But these are all mostly technological enhancements that make the uniform more functional. I mean look at the Steelers new jerseys and tell me the Raiders couldn't have maintained their look with these things added?
I don't understand why the Raiders don't have an alternate uni like all the other teams. We could at least switch it up and have a silver jersey and black pants. Don't get me wrong, I like the old school unis but a different uniform wouldn't kill us once in awhile
Never really cared for our white uniforms, but that's just me
I was hoping for some small changes. This Mark Davis's raiders now and what better way to step out of Al's shadow. Maybe the team logo on the sleeves or pants.
I agree completely. I think the Raiders might be the only team that isn't using the new tech
Edit: Packers, Falcons, Panthers, Eagles are all not adapting to the new tech. I wonder why? I'm sure they had the players try on different jerseys and maybe the OG fabrics were the best fit?
I can see Nike trying to make extra money by adding annual changes to the jerseys like the neck/collar design and stitching patterns.
Reebok kept them pretty much exactly the same for the past 5 years so you couldn't tell the difference from a '07 jersey and an '11 jersey.
JUST WIN BABY.
