Word from Green Bay is that the Packers expect Reggie McKenzie to start work with Raiders right away and not finish out season with Packers
From GB's Ted Thompson: "I would like to thank Reggie McKenzie for all that he has done for the Green Bay Packers over the last 18 years
McKenzie comes highly recommended and they're treating him good. We have all the reason in the NFL world to be excited right now. Welcome back home Reggie, you've done good but now we need your expertise!!!!
Just climbed onto the Packer bandwagon to take it all this year. In reading his bio,the guy helped McCarthy with the game plan, as an advanced scout during the season, a huge sacrifice on their part.
Perusing their admin staff, saw that Sam Seale is a west coast college scout for them. Alonzo Highsmith is also a scout...Shaun....Herock. Interesting names that worked under McKenzie.
Fantastic!!! I called and put a deposit down for season tickets in the club section. The ticket office is getting tons of deposits from what they were telling me. Big time enthusiasm for the move.
Christmas in January i would say. Man i am super excited. This off season should be very interesting to say the least...
This is the best start to an off-season in a very long time. I can unlock my rifle and the sharp knives now. I' taking the suicide prevention hotline off my speed-dial.

Very exciting...sounds like he is on the payroll already...
Great start to the offseason. No agonizing waiting for things to happen like in other years.
This is good news....the official word on the Raiders web site does not confirm his immediate appointment...."reached an agreement" is all it says so far.
Awesome news. It's nice to be able to be excited after an 8-8 season.
He's got a lot of work to do. Glad he's not finishing up the year with GB, he will need as much time as possible to improve this team before the 2012 season starts.
Reggie McKenzie will start immediately as the Raiders new general manager, a league source said.
The Raiders announced they reached an agreement with the Packers director of football operations to become their new general manager and scheduled a news conference for Tuesday at 2 p.m. to introduce him.
McKenzie, 48, leaves the Packers, who have a bye this week, before they open defense of their Super Bowl championship.
