    Run DMC, It's Tricky

According to NFL.com mcfadden may not be back until the Packers game

NFL.com news: Raiders' McFadden still is very limited with foot injury

What i am wondering now is when will enough be enough?
Of course we cannot release him, this would be ludicrous because we know how he can play and coming off a short pre-season where injuries can be expected. But what if this happens again next year does the organization get rid of him??? this can't happen every season and i only expect to see him get one more chance next year.

Opinions on DMCs future with the Raiders?

BTW i am not one of those Bush fanboys who thinks we should Franchise tag Bush this year and get rid of DMC

Obviously McFadden has a history with injuries and it sucks; it hurts us no doubt.

With that being said, when dude is healthy, he's one of the best if not THE best in the league at what he does.

There is no way you let 20 walk, not even a possibility. You don't get rid of a franchise player, c'mon man.

you can;t let him walk. It;s like Minnesota when they had Robert Smith and Jags when they had taylor you just have to put up with the Injuries and have a solid

I see, so will we try to sign or draft a good #2 back this offseason or do we let TJ develop more?

Bush has me becoming one of those fanboys. We would be pretty fvcked without him, and McFadden has not convinced anyone he can stay healthy.

How many times are we gonna have this conversation? McFadden is too good to let him walk for nothing. He's a top 3 (maybe the best) back in the league when he's healthy. If you're not going to get proper value back in return in a trade, then you keep him.

We have three capable (understatement, perhaps, but you know what I mean) running backs on the roster; it'd be foolish to waste a pick on another back when 1) we have very few picks as it is and 2) there are other, glaring needs elsewhere that need to be addressed.

This sucks, but who knows if his source is correct. Kind of sucks AP sprains his ankle is in a boot and says hes playing sunday. Mcfadden mid foot sprain, top level treatment, and boot + no weight on it. He still cant function. This really sucks for him, hes a top 5level talent that cant stay healthy.

I am thankful for Bush as well but him succeeding can be very well be because of how the line is doing, young RB's are a dime a dozen so maybe we will just draft an RB with a Compensatory pick since you can find plenty of good ones in the 3rd to 5th round anyway. Maybe another big Bush style back

Actually now that i think about wouldn't Reece or Cartright be just fine if they needed to step in?

People tend to forget too that Bo Jackson cause of Baseball use to only play 9-11 games a year as well. Were we going to let him walk cause he played baseball.

If young RBs are dime a dozen, why will someone else pay $$$ for Bush? Its because he is a lot better than the dime a dozen young backs. Without him I'd guess we are 4-6 instead of 6-4, maybe even 3-7.

Why go all in for next year and not have two really good backs? Even with a franchise tag, he would cost 7-8 mil, not much more than Curry.

While I absolutely LOVE McFadden, and he is the most explosive player on our team. He wouldn't be able to do any of it without a good O-Line like we've had for the past 2 years. For 1, it's the plays we're letting him run now. But having a good O-Line is HUGE for McFadden. McFadden can run through a hole, shake one or two tackles and take it to the house. But he's not nearly as good as Forte, Rice, Peterson. They make plays out of nothing. I haven't seen McFadden make too many plays out of nothing. I'm not expecting a Marcus Allen play, but if it wasn't for the O-Line, I think he wouldn't be explosive.

And, I think next year he will start being a lot healthier, and if not. Then the Organization really needs to think about the next step. Who cares if you have a star player if he's out for some of the most important games of the season. Can't produce if you're not out there. And Taiwan Jones is showing he can be a pretty amazing RB with a full off-season and some mentoring. I say give McFadden a year, and if he proves he still can't keep healthy for a good amount of games, I don't say release him right then. But start looking towards the future, definitely.

Again, I LOVE McFadden, and I think we're 100% better with him in the huddle. But those are my thoughts

There's something to be said about durability in this League. Would you rather have DMC for 10 games and 1200 yards rushing? Or Michael Bush for 16 games and 1600 yards rushing?

Completely different injury. Deangelo Williams was Ir'd last season for a mid foot sprain.

What a f'n slow healer he is. This mid-foot sprain has to be worse than what they reported.
