I hope Heyward-Bey has a great season, I am so rooting for this guy

DHB at least has the work ethic and dedication, how can you not root for a guy like this? Always liked his attitude and approach, and really hope he has a great season. He's no diva that's for sure, that 1st season will hopefully keep him from ever developing into one. I have to admit, i really wanted us to draft him that year - but with our 2nd pick not 1st.
Same can be said for McFadden - Let's hope they both have a great season!

He gets a pass last season because Fatmarcus was QB, but now he's got some QBs in Campbell and Grad to hit him in stride. I hope he blows up, I like his attitude, I think he can overcome having small hands, mind over matter

I am pro DHB I love that kid and I think he has a real chance to be very good. Out of all the talk about his hands and pictures posted before... This is a great picture imo, and the concern I have when it comes to him, has less to do with his hands and more to do with his concentration.
It's kind of funny, but look at his eyes.
They're closed. In order for receivers to catch the ball they need to have their eyes on it the whole way through, contact or no contact, falling or not falling. Eyes can't leave the ball until it's secured.
I'm not going to judge him on this one picture, but it's a good picture of him losing concentration and focus which is what causes more drops than anything when it comes to the art of catching a football.

"well" the man says, " give Al Davis thirty seven million dollars, put him on a plane to Louisiana and tell him to scout every waffle house until he finds the next great Raiders quarterback."

Look at these vids I found
These were posted in early July... seems like he's really been busting his ass even when he's not at the Raiders facility.

I got his #12 jersey in white today. It was very cheap.
Hope he owns this year.

I am really hoping he proves his critics wrong this year. If he doesn't improve it is not because he didn't put in the work.

I am truly impressed with DHB efforts to get better. Lets hope it translates on gamedays. He has really put in tons of extra work already since the season ended, Murphy and him have been in Alameda virtually the whole off season working. He has the desire to be successful whether he has the tools to do it will be seen soon.

If he's still having trouble with concentration at this point in his career I don't think he'll ever fully be rid of it, I think he can succeed as a wr because of his determination and work ethic but will struggle with drops for his whole nfl career. It was defiantly amplified last year with Russell throwing a laser every time but I doubt he'll ever be fully rid of it.

I am pulling for DHB
He has the work ethic
He has the talent
He has a chip on his shoulder
and
He isn't a pre-madona that thinks he deserves every thing handed to him on a platter.
I really think there are big things in his future, and he and the other young players are going to be the core that turns things around in Oakland.

I wouldn't be a fan of the Raiders if I didn't have hope for the guy... but, I have difficulty believing he will be a better ball-catcher this season. I do wish that he proves me wrong. I will give him credit for trying... but, not a pass. If he doesn't impress... watch me bash by week 6

He is very easy to root for. Great attitude and work ethic. I really hope all his hard works pays off on the field.
