I'm all for talent and depth on the oline (and dline for that matter) but damn this guy is penalty machine.

jtagg7754 wants Lamarr Houston to stop worrying about personnel decisions while he's a rookie and learn his damn position first.
Lamarr obviously must've not paid attention to Flozell himself during his time in Dallas.
3-4 years ago I would have said fine sign him. Now he is an older Cornell Green. No thanks.

I don't think he could handle either tackle spot at this point. Maybe guard but I don't think he has ever played it and I would like to see what Bruce Campbell can do there anyway.
As least Houston cares. You see that he wants his team to win at all costs. I can respect that whether he is a rookie or 7 year vet.
what this really says is, Houston is not comfortable with who we have playing at the RT position at the moment. this is not good. we need an anchor at that spot
he's actually a little worse than Cornell Green overall:

But he's a much better run blocker hahahaha
It's a little surprising to see a rookie making personnel requests, especially one on the opposite side of the ball. Makes me wonder if he saw something in our o-line that needs improvement...........................

Why is Houston worried about who we have right now? Let's just see if you can play football on the NFL level before you skip right to GM.

Why are people on this board jumping on the rookie for wanting a particular player? I mean, I don't want to step on anybody's toes or dis the guys on this thread but give me a break. This kid has made it to the NFL. I think he may know a little more about football than we do. Yes, even in his infantcy to the NFL. I think Flozell is garbage past his prime. That's my opinion. Maybe this kid knows him personally and admires him for some reason. Afterall, the kid did come from Texas. I see a connection in that regard and that regard only...![]()
Don't let what you can't do, stop you from doing what you can do!
First off, its his personal twitter account. Its not like he went in the office
I hope he makes it private after seeing an entire article being written off a free-thought posted on twitter by a rookie
It shows that he is concerned with our line, He wants to WIN !
Then you know what, then don't complain about how these athletes don't show emotion, how they don't care, how they are out of the loop, yada, yada, yada like some, MANY do.
It's a double edge sword with these guys. They talk freely, say what's on their mind, and they either get blasted or people say stuff like you just did. They say nothing, and then it is assumed they are heartless, they have no attachment and they are just wanting to get paid and that's it.
And if you look at it like that, then you just eliminated a major chunk of how info is disseminated in this modern age of news, media and information distribution. ESPN, national writers, athletes all are freely blasting on Twitter knowing well what will happen once something is put out there.
HE CHOSE to post that. No one put a gun to his head. HE IS THE ONE THAT ACCEPTS people following him; fans and media.
SO HE should take responsibility of what is put out there. Once he put that out there, it was his responsibility.
And I was just the first one to grab that snippet and publish a piece on it. By the way, half hour later, the Dallas Morning News decided to put it out there too:
Report: No teams interested in ex-Cowboy Flozell Adams | Dallas Cowboys News | Sports News | News for Dallas, Texas | Dallas Morning News
Hey, its the way of the world now.
Oh, and I have talked to him via that network and followed that post of his with a reply Twitter message that he never responded to. So, the same way he posted something, he chose not to reply a follow-up question...
