Sittin' pretty: Mt.Cody, C.Brown, R.Saffold, or B.Price WILL be there!

With Clausen, Tate, and Mays still available, ONE of these trench guys WILL be there!

I will be ECSTATIC with our #7 pick in the 2nd round if it's any of these 4 guys....we either solidify the line with a run stuffing lineman (Mt.Cody or UCLA's Brian Price) or we dramatically upgrade the O line with Charles Brown out of USC or Rodger Saffold!

    Stoookkkeed......

Without a doubt!!! We have a GREAT chance to, like you said, dramatically upgrade the trenches!! We started off this draft in a great way and tomorrow only looks to be the exact same way!

I got a feeling it will be Saffold.

Can play either RG or RT.

You know what I am thinking.....

Bruce Campbell may be there in the 3rd. A bunch of prospective tackles that were ranked behind Campbell were already drafted.

So we can actually use our 2nd for another need. Maybe a DT or even Golden Tate.

I'd like golden tate just cuz he reminds me of Tim Brown.

The old man better do a typical reach and draft a CB that we can get in Round 3 or 4.

They need to target Cody, Saffold, L Joseph, Price, Dunlap or Clausen.

I'm not high on Brown because he is too light and he is not as versatile as Saffold.

Plus he is a leader, strong and powerful 3-4 year starter at Indiana.

He has solid starting experience and versatility.

I like Saffold, personally. We have a huge need on every OL position except LG, really, especially the right side.

Cody worries me. Yes, he is a huge NT, but his weight and conditioning have been consistent issues. Sure, it wasn't a problem at the college level, but if he doesn't work out hard enough he could very well become another Sands. Plus, they keep insisting that we are sticking with the 4-3 base, and given our coaches predilections for that scheme, I am inclined to believe them.

Either one of these guys would help out, I would prefer Cody or Clausen. I can't see Clausen being there when we pick. I wouldnt mind an OL, we still need to address that aspect. Cody would fill a big need. Cody and McClain will really help out our D

I think we should go after a tackle in the 2nd and a guard in the third...with our d line....I don't know how much Osi is worth to the giants but if we can trade a pick later than the third and Morrison for him it would make the d line vicious....seymour, kelly in the interior and osi and whoever at the outside...We need to make atleast one solid pick on the o line someone that can start in his rookie season and dominate for us.

Agreed, It we can play our cards right we can come away with a very good DT or LT in the 2nd.

the most obvious player needs to be cody. whats the best way to fix your run defense? how about 2 players who single handidly made alabama the best defense in the nation? no-brainer.

tom has a good poker face. i cant get a read off him. he mentioned suh, mccoy, and okung being the top 3 targets of the raiders before mcclain. do the raiders abandon the DT spot now or do they see a jackpot in cody? i hope mcclain has slipped in some approval.

tom also mentioned we would focus on offensive line and add another piece to the secondary. he was pretty convincing when he suggested it wasnt just one position on the o-line, he just wants bodies. last year he didnt get his wish. this year?

i think this would be phenomenal:
    2. cody
    3. ciron black
    4. matt tennant
