Don't know... I'd like to see him get 20+ carries for a game and see what he can do. People have said he's the type of runner that gets into a groove and will eventually break off a big run. But as of right now, he looks like a bust to me..

It's too early to give final judgment on McFadden bust status. He definitely hasn't been performing like is to be expected out of a first pick, but it's still too early to call him an official bust. I think DHB is well on his way to being a bust though.

No, McFadden needs an HC/OC who's actually going to utilize his strengths whether it be in the passing game as it was shown or in the run game with more tosses and strech running plays.
Cable has screwed over McFadden since he's gotten here and his continuous changes at the position clarifies this with McFadden. He's a RB who needs touches like any other RB to get into a groove and in the flow of a game.
McFadden is far from being a bust, he just needs the proper coaches to utilize his strengths.

You think its too early to call McFadden a bust, but Heyward-Bey is well on his way?

Completely disagree. What is McFadden doing? Barely over 3 yards per carry. One TD. Averages about 20 receiving yards per game. He is nearly as comparably of a flop as JR is. In fact if JR hadn't busted so bad, McFadden would be getting the heat in his place.
You can say it's not his fault that he's not getting opportunities, but the coaches are giving the playing time to those it feels gives the team the best chance to win. Obviously McFadden is not impressing them in practice.
We skipped on Chris Johnson for McFadden. No, I don't think it was possible to draft C Johnson with the 4th overall pick and pass on McFadden, but for ONCE WE SKIPPED THE FASTEST GUY AT HIS POSITION!!! Yes, McFadden was fast, but C Johnson was the fastest guy at the combine. And for once we don't go with the fastest guy. Just our @@$!#!# luck.

Why? His lateral movement sucks, he has absolutely no patience, and he falls down w/o even getting touched. He has happy feet and cannot even control them. If we learned anything from the game yesterday, it's that he is a WR, nothing more.

Sort of agree but he could've used the element of surprise on would be tacklers in the rain. It was a wet field and he knew where he was going. He could've used that to his advantage with misdirection.
He's starting to break tackles now. Didn't like the backwards run for a loss up the middle though. Needs to study a bit more and get real scientific with it.
He's good (natural ability) but just needs to master the art of deception like many electrifying runners do.

McFadden at least shows potential on occasion if utilized properly and is healthy. He can end up being productive if he works out several issues. DHB hasn't shown he is capable of much of anything besides killing drives, but he does run fast!

No, he needs a brain and more athletic ability. The line isn't the best, I agree but they're not the reason fro McFadden sucking.

No kidding. What the hell.
I think the bust label fits the Oakland Raider disorganization. It is squandering both of them.
Ken <--thinks McFadden should have JaChubster's job

McFadden is not a bust. If we had someone creative as our OC then we would see an explosion machine. He touched the ball 11 times all together, and got a combined 105 yards from scrimmage. Now 8 of those were rushes, i think about 5 or 6 of them were running him up the middle, which is not the way to utilize him! Now if we gave the ball to him 20 or 25 times a game, well you can do the maths.
If we didn't have a converted offensive line coach calling the plays we would see McFadden become one of the most damaging players in the NFL. End of story.
If we could get a few good offensive lineman he will be great.
