Cable statement on Seymour
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Monday, September 7th, 2009 at 2:44 pm in Oakland Raiders.
How coach Tom Cable addressed the Richard Seymour trade following practice:
Cable: Real quickly about the Richard Seymour issue. We have attempted to make a deal. There are some issues still between him and the Patriots that are being worked out. Hoping that will be resolved as quickly as possible. We know that the player wants to be here, but we have no control really over those issues. That’s really all I’m going to talk about it for now.
Q: Can you tell us how you know he wants to be here? Have you spoken with him?
Cable: I have talked to him.
Q: So he said he wants to be here?
Cable: Yes.
Q: Is there a day you have to have him by to play in the opener?
Cable: As soon as possible. That’s really the only way to answer that right now.

Much ado about nothing, as usual.
Well I wasn't really expecting him to say we wasted a 1st rounder on a guy who doesn't want to be here...
But I hope this is true and not some Bs.
pats need to get their hand out our cookie jar already and resolve the stuff already so we can move forward
we got a can of....wait a minute, lemme check the date....expiration date "sep 15th 2009"....alright so our can of woop-@ss expires next tuesday, so we need to open it up on the disChargers on monday, bc mama always told me not to waste food......

It is hard for me to figure what kind of issues he could have with the Pats that could hold up the trade. If anyone can make sense of this, please share.
So what types of issues with the Patriots could it be?
I mean since they have traded him to us...he has no business with the Pats anymore.
Maybe he still has the Pat's playbook and they want it back.

Yes he must have. I am gonna guess 65 million around 40 guaranteed on a 4 year extension. Just like Hall Pass, Kelly and Walker. Pay them enough and they will come. Meet the new highest paid D-lineman. Good for him though. I dont have anything against a player getting paid. More power to them.....
