Sapp Predicts Garcia to Start in 09

I know Sapp's mouth is a touchy subject around here but there is some other good info in the vid.

NFL Videos: Raiders offseason QB battle

*Edit - Looks like this is already being discussed in the "Jamarcus Holds Passing Camp in Al" thread. Delete or merge if necessary.

Sapp also said that there was no chance Jamarcus would be a bust in an NFL.com online chat

Sapp lets emotion rule him in the moment, always has. I listen to nothing he says. If JR can not do the job we have a great second option. It is JR's job to lose.

Yeah, this feels more like an emotional outburst than thoughtful analysis.

Sapp is also very aware that his job is to raise eyebrows. There are 20 guys at NFL Network that can read the press release and tell us the obvious, he's there to say the outlandish.

It's only because he's a Tampa Bay fan boi! I wish I could slap him in the mouth more often than not.

He's as unprepared for his new job as he was when he played for us. I'll never forget seeing the Denver RB pointing and laughing at Sapp during the game.

Agreed Sapp just likes to hear himself talk.

I think this is wonderful news regarding Jamarcus. My only concern is....where are the rest of the receivers? They may or may NOT be arriving later in the week? What the hell!?

I like watching the NFL Network but Sapp's addition makes me cringe. He is a walking contradiction. I may be wrong but I get the impression that he has little integrity. While others seem to speak from the heart, or at least speak frankly about what is on their minds. It seems Sapp is there trying to say whatever will ingratiate him to his bosses or the audience. I find that he merely tries to meet the expectations of the moment whatever that might be. So, if you find him contradicting himself from one moment to another do not be surprised. He is hollow and offers very little on that network. Unlike Rod who is comfortable with who he is and what he believes, Sapp is all over the place trying to say something to confirm that he belongs on that network. My guess is that he will not last. I am sure his 'act' will grow tired and he will be replaced.

DHB needs to rest until training camp, but he should study the playbook and game film from the top receivers in the today and before.

did anybody see what that Baltimore reporter said about JR on espn first take? Pretty much said JR was not helping his case, missing the last practice, and not making a commitment. He pretty much said Garcia was going to get the job too.

i saw that too..they just keep on repeating the same sh!t over and over, oh jamarcus went awol on the last day of OTAs blah blah..why not also mention that he's holding a passing camp in alabama, effing bspn, they just want to create a QB controversy when there is none.
