Jamarcus Russell or Josh Freeman?
If you had a choice and lets say they where both in the same draft which one would you rather have?

can't believe this is even up for discussion. you are talking about Jamarcus who was the top QB and a consensus top 10 prospect versus a guy who was at best the 3rd best QB in the draft.
Jamarcus has the better arm and more experience in a better defensive conference (SEC vs. Big XII). Jamarcus just needs to grow up and assume some leadership responsibility the way most successful franchise QBs do.
if you want to compare Josh Freeman to anyone, compare him to Jason Campbell instead.

I was going to say the exact same thing. The only thing that skews any comparison in Freeman's favor to me is that J.R.'s receivers all got drafted and most were 1st or 2nd round picks. In everything else I would take Russell everytime.

If Jamarcus plays the way he did against the Texans, Bucs, and Broncoes next season, he'll be good.
We've seen Jamarcus succeed. All he has to do is continue this success. I expect he will because he's proven himself capable of focusing on one game at a time. He puts his losses behind him and comes out expecting to play better.

I'd take Russell over Calvin Johnson and Josh Freeman.
Freeman makes bad choices and has questionable accuracy in college.
JaMarcus was noted as having high accuracy and making good choices when he was drafted.

Just looking at stats, you can tell Russell is the better pure passer from the two and more of a pocket QB whereas Freeman reminds me of Vince Young who can do more with his legs.
In his final year, Russell completed 68% of his passes with 28 TDs and 8 Ints, 1 rush TD
Freeman last year completed only 58% of his passes with 20 TDs and 8 Ints, however he also ran for 14 TDs.

yeah...freeman seemed like a smarter vince young to me...I predicted VY's bum-di-tude and he didn't disappoint.
People kind of jump on russell and don't even know anything about him in college...the guy was an absolute stud and you really can't argue the point....how can you argue with the stats?
But no...everyone tries to say that he lit it up at his pro day..that's why..no it was because he was the best QB in the draft.
I would have picked him first 10 times out of 10...why? Because who would have threw Megatron the ball?!?!? On draft day I believe McCown and Walter were the only Qbs on the roster....

C'mon man....are you serious? Freeman is no where near the QB Jamarcus was in college, what you wan't stats?comeback victories? special plays/throws? Productivity?
The media has mentally beaten the raider nation down.
Josh Freeman?.....?
