I think Huff dropping a Brett Favre duck at the 7:55 mark in OT may have him watching Eugene play more.

On 3rd and 4 at their own 16, Favre drops back to pass, he rolls to his left to avoid the pressure and lobs one to a well covered receiver. Its over thrown. Huff comes up and closes on a ball thats like fielding a soft punt.

DOINK!

It bounces right off his chest plate.

Instead of Oakland getting the ball at the 35 (a 42 yd field goal is well with in J.Kow's range) the drama dragged on.

Uuugh! HUFF!!!

C'mon!

Wheres the break out game?!

He may be losing his chances if Hiram has another solid game.

We'll see more of Huff against Heap this Sunday, but if he doesn't start snagging picks or forcing fumbles, this kids gonna go bye bye and prove to be another lousy DP.
I wouldnt have a FS covering a TE at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wilson and Howard should be covering Heap. Also, Heap has been a non-factor in the Baltimore pass game since they keep him in for xtra protection on the rookie QB.

They run alot of 2 TE sets and max protect. Not beyond the realm for Huff to get matched up.

Hirma made 3 maybe even 4 TD saving tackles in last weeks game.

I was just wondering whether Huff's coverage or Eugene's tackling would be more beneficial?

Lets hit it:

Could have had

-Daunte Whitner, a real FS thats starting and playing well for the Bills. Those two where head to head in most evaluations and of course we picked the wrong guy...

-Jay Cutler. Make no mistakes Im happy we have Jamarcus, but this team would be further along if we had have our franchise QB earlier. The only real NFL QB of this first round. People where talking about Matt Leinart but never a word came out about Cutler. Amazing.

-DT Haloti Ngata wich we will see this sunday anchor the Ravens DLine.

Those are 3 players that would have helped the Raiders a lot.

Huff tackling skills and physicality where already in doubt before the draft. Off course there is a knock on every single prospect, but its sad to see how much we got all the bad out of him.

I really hope Hiram Eugene takes this chance and runs with it. Last sunday was a good start. It would be awesome to solve that problem with a guy already on the roster.

Hiram, easily. I would guarentee, had Huff been in there, we would have lost last sunday, and if he is in today, we will lose today. Eugene makes those 1 on 1 tackles on a RB that always seem to make a highlight clip for the RB when Huff is in. He just embarrasses himself every time he is 1 on 1 trying to stop the RB from getting the TD

the raiders think huff is better in coverage, which is why huff got more snaps than eugene last week....when the jets went empty backfield and 4 wides, and on 3rd downs, huff was playing fs, not eugene

this week, we will see more of eugene, because baltimore wont spread it out like the jets
