Henderson vs Harris

Henderson is not as good as Harris yet. The games that he played were tailored to him. Every pass play that they called was with him in mind. One of the first pass plays against the Bills, Henderson let a guy run right by him. This basically is an example of how far behind he is. He is not ready to be a starter. Harris is able to make a block, and though he gets penalties and gets beat, he doesn't get beat the way Henderson does. Henderson is not ready to start and when he does, Russell is forced to release the ball before anybody is open...thus throwing the ball away or out of bounds.

For those of you that think Henderson should start just because you think he played well, you aren't seeing the whole picture. He played well with what he was asked to do. What he is asked to do is different than what Harris is asked to do. With Harris, the offense can call their normal offensive plays. With Henderson, they can't because if they do, Russell's face will be in the ground and he could get severely hurt.

Rep coming your way, the.Rockst*r .
I can't believe how many people are calling for Henderson. There's a reason the coaching staff was so relieved to have Harris back. Henderson held up admirably, but he's still a liability.

Still, it was encouraging to see Henderson perform as well as he did. He exceeded a lot of expectations, and he no longer appears to be a bust.

i dunno man, i actually dont see a difference between the 2 id rather get Henderson the reps in practice and the exp in games. We already know what Harris brings and its not like JRUSS is getting any extra time with him in and its not like we exactly opened up the playbook with either of them in there.

Considering Henderson's salary and age I would prefer to have him over the next 3 seasons and let Kwame walk after this year. I would need to see a lot more out of Kwame than I already have to want him at LT for any substantial period of time.
Henderson is still a liability, but he will only get better with playing time. Do you risk JR taking some lumps to see what you have with this guy?

JR is still gonna take the same lumps with Harris so whats the difference. Id go with henderson and maybe that makes us game plan for our strengths instead of game planing with weaknesses.

Henderson and Harris are not the answer. We need to trade, sign or draft a FRANCHISE LT.

I don't think either are the answer at LT.. I hope a LT is drafted in the 1st round next year..

I'd like to see Henderson give a chance at RT tho.

All I know is Henderson has looked better than Harris in the games. Thats what my eyeballs have seen. Im sure JaMarcus Russell's back would rather have Henderson starting at LT right now over weak ass Harris. Harris and Green are a bunch of no good bums that should be working as farmers instead of NFL tackles.

Farmers? Why? Weeds, madcow, frost and anything else detramental to crops and live stock would get past them too.

They didn't run the ball on the left side because of Mario Henderson. That's big.

Harris sucks, no doubt about it, and his penalties are a big problem, but Henderson is pretty damn raw.

The fact that they had to factor his inabilities into the game plan is worrisome. I'm just saying, given that the game plan WAS tailored to account for Henderson's inabilities, I don't see where all the confidence in him is coming from.
