Nnamdi must have been so embarrassed to represent this organization, but I am sure he isn't too worried because he is still getting paid a LOT of money this year, and will bolt after the season is over and make lots of money for a winning organization. Disgusting.

I think most of the players were behind Kiffin and Al never refuted that when asked. I think he said he would not speak for the players when asked. He said, however, botomline, this was not about his relationship with the players. It was about conduct detrimental to the team. Al, right or wrong, basically said Kiff was let go for cause and proved the reasoning behind it. I dont think player allegiances came into play, but he did quickly say that the players also like Cable and the owner. Kiffin was a likeable guy to the players he did not call out in the press, but does not insinuate they also dont like Cable or Al or any other coach. Football is a business and Al did what he thought he had to do. The players will now get behind the new coach and keep trying. Even Nambdi said that Huff called him before he went on the air to tell him that Cable was the good guy that went around the locker room meeting with players and encouraging their performance. I think he will be well liked by players too.

Exactly! If you love your coach and are behind him then why not learn to tackle, pass defend, catch the ball, get open, pass block, WIN and maybe you still have your beloved coach!!!

i dont think so. Thats the money part of the issue talking. Cmon be serious, if this team is hitting on all cylinders and we beat the Bills and Dolts and are on a 3 game winning streak heading into the buy week there is no way AL is firing anyone.

I am serious. In the press conference he was asked if the team had won their last 2 games and were 3-1 would you still have fired Kiffin, and his answer was yes.

Kiffin said he had nothing to do with the defense. It was Rob Ryan's and Al Davis' puppy. In which case, why is Asomugha upset in any way. I'm calling Kiffin a liar. Otherwise Asomugha would not have had much association with Kiffin. |
