Here's a good question, whose has more coaching problems than any other owner in the NFL by far? Kind of hard to believe this man who has a similar case against a current coach...Excuses are hard to come by these days., especially after all them firings....

Hey, at least he was willing to come out and tell the truth, with documentation. Let's see what Kiffin does.

I was referring to subject of the post, Al davis stated his cased based on a letter he wrote a few weeks ago and rambled it off like it was facts. IMO some of the stuff was true but don't think for a second i believe all of it. Seriously i'm asking you what was the point of that news conference?
It appeared he did it salvage his reputation with fans and nfl. It stunk of desperation. Its apparent he made the decision based on the fact that kiffin did not show him enough respect(and i agree) but this is now a legal matter.
Yeah I would have talked about the Razorbacks, Ryans situation and maybe a couple issues of crossing the line and probably left it at that. The point of the news conference is it has been a one-sided story until today in the public. He wanted to say his side of it. He said he wanted Lane and in so many words there was just too many things Lane was doing that just didn't add up. Al felt at some point someone advised him of a plan to get out of Oakland. Which again shouldn't be thrown out because he wanted out and to go to Arkansas.

But they are all different. Most were he fired the coach simply based on performance not character. This was totally a character firing and not performance. That is why this is something, coaches don't usually get canned because of character. Al didn't make it up, because he could have just fired him for performance like the rest, so there was something different here.

No it simply means that Kiffin is going to save his side of the story and any evidence he has for the hearing before Roger Goodell, on the advice of his attorney/agent.

I'm sure his agent told him they would have a better chance with the grievance by not showing their hand prior to like Al Davis just did.

Black heart you are right on; business is business; no way does he go in a public forum and lie to set himself up for a lawsuit.

Kiffin also has a big mouth at times; during this time he should have just shut up and done his job and he would have gotten all this money. I'm telling you, Kiffin screwed himself. From the start his lawyer should have said shut up, do your job, and he has to pay you.

Is it really over character, that is the $1,000,000 question or in this case, $3,000,000+ question? And Gruden was over performance, c'mon bro!

You gotta admit that some of the stuff Al Davis said, made sense...and the old man can still speak well. And here we are thinking Al Davis is about to go into the Heavens!
