You're saying now you buy that he wants to win on the field???????

Five coaches in six years with the same results, yeah he's fixed the problem... he's merely set up the process to find another new guy after this season. The Raiders need a f**king GM to be a buffer between Davis and his coaches and even the most novice of fans could figure that out... If Davis was truly concerned about winning on the field he'd a hire a f**king head coach that wasn't the fourth or fifth option, he'd also have people in place to handle the football operations side of things, not yes men who are merely there to collect paychecks by kissing his ass. Common sense...

"Al Davis thought all owners were dilettantes with a new toy. He said to me many times through the years that owners are often the problem with their franchises, that too many of them think they can run things when they cannot, and the teams that succeed are the ones where the owner hires the best people he can and turns the game over to them."
