I believed Al before the press conference... it doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that Kiffin didnt want to be here, took every opportunity given to take pot shots at the only person who gave him a shot as HC in the league, never came out and soundly refuted the Arkansas rumors, fired RR without going through the proper channels, blamed his coaching staff for his failures, was pretty much immature since the end of last season.

Kiffin avoids the question about "is it true that you guys have talked after each game" (something like that) So I think Kiffin was lying about that.
The poll is who do I think telling the truth? I belive Al is. I still side with Kiffin on alot of issues though. Imagin if we traded down, got a few nice picks and an O line, and had Monte Kiffin running the D. Then again, Kiffin is also the same person who traded moss away. So I don't know. i don't care. Lets just support Cable, lol. |

I also question whether Kiff vs Jamarcus accusations (spelling) As far as Kiff's future. I too feel if he ever regains the ranks of an opposing coach in the NFL and his team plays us, you know damn well at the least it will be on competitive game. ..come to think of it, I'd love to be a fly on the wall once Shanarat, Gruden and Kiffin have their 1st conference call.

Kiffin looked just as pathetic in that interview with espn. I have never seen a grown man try to play the poor me card. He looks away everytime he is asked a question.
I like Kiffin, but the fact remains that Al said nothing different then the press has said. Kiff has been known to be hard to get along with. Look at some of the things people deep in USC have had to say. Al is not an angel and the whole thing sucks, but the man calls it like it is. He has proof of stuff that he disliked and so on. Kiffin will be waiting along time to get back in the NFL. |

Al Davis has some evidence. Also Al Davis described the Arkansas thing exactly the way I heard it last year. As of right now I believe Al Davis.

Who?? Pete Carrol? - Nothing but glowing endorsments for Kiff. That's one of THEE most respected minds in college football let alone SC. Steve Sark? He's had Kiff's back the whole time. Athletic Director Mike Garrett? The same man who called Kiff part of the young and aggressive minds of football?
..Or rather, are your referring to ex USC player Petros Papakakis? The same Fox Sports loudmouth who's vowing to be the next Howard Stern of sportstalk. If he's not calling a few USC home games, Fox sends him to cover Division I-AA games that are broadcasted on the Fox 400 channels which no one watches anyway. I'm an SC alum and follow that lineage from Heritage Hall to the NFL religiously. Aside from Papadakis (who's trying to be the next Skip Bayless) , I can't recall anyone from SC having anything bad to say about Kiff.

I agree, but I'm sure moss would have played pretty well with Russell throwing 80 yard TDS.
Regardless of what the player "wants" It's your job as a head coach to do what's best for the team. everyone in the locker said he was a positive role, so who knows.. |
