Russell/McFadden: New Raider Dynasty Year One
This is potentially the most exciting beginning to a Raider season of ALL-TIME.
Think about it: We have two young players, both DRAFTED BY OAKLAND and ready to make their debut on Monday Night Football. When we look back on 3 Superbowl rings ten years from now, THIS may be the game that we as Raider Nation look back on and say "Yeah, it all started that night in Denver.......that's when Russell and McFadden first took the field together and those are the offensive cornerstones that we built on for the next decade"
Coupled with the defense that we've assembled: THE FIRM of Morrison and Howard, the secondary of Nnamdi Asomugha, DeAngelo Hall, Huff, and Wilson, not to mention Burgess, Kelly and Richardson - and it's not hard to imagine that the division title is within our grasp. We must all see that and yes, one game at a time, but.........THIS could very well be one of the most important games (and seasons) in Raider history.
F--K DENVER!!! RISE UP RAIDER NATION!!! THIS IS MUST WIN BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nonsense! This is where we take back what is ours! This division will be ours to win or lose. From the first game forward, we’re in control of our own destiny!

Or we could just lose and everyone gets pissy.
But honestly, it is pretty exciting because Russell/McFadden are gonna be two shining stars in our offense without even naming Bush, Fargas, and all the guys on our defense. We need another draft or two to really be legit but every game is laying a foundation. As long as we have consistancy at the coaching position, we'll be able to watch this team grow into something great...legendary even.

He gets burnt more than anyone else, and he all of a sudden is this great Pro Bowl cover corner. I never saw that in DeAngelo Hall. He would gamble and do everything unsound on the corner." - Warren Sapp on DeAngelo Fall

Hopefully Russell can lead the charge once he gets more comfortable ans stops over-throwing the ball. McFadden needs to learn some shakes cuz you gotta have more than just pure speed in this league. If Walker can keep his head on level ground, Oak may shock everyone this year.

I'm all for optimism but that's a little out there
I think we have a definite chance to turn some heads, get some wins, and if we catch fire, we could very well see this team take a division title. However, there are also a lot of things that need to be addressed. We are one good draft, maybe two, away from being a really good team, in my opinion.
Your 3 superbowls will be hard-pressed until we upgrade our tackles, add a young, legitimate WR threat, and (most important, in my opinion) have some continuity in the coaching staff!
With that said, I think this can be a very good team now, we just have to play well together and play to our strengths. This is gonna be a very exciting year for the Raiders, and it all starts tonight! Here's to an utter domination of the Broncos!
