Chaz Schilens
I really hope this guy can convince the coaches to give him that 4th roster spot over Watkins....
Sure , Watkins has been tearing it up in camp...
But Schilens has been the better game player....
those two catches were glimpses of something special IMO...

it would be 5th actually Higgins is still 4th, i think tehre is atime you have to side with upside and Shailens probably has more of it

Gotta agree there. Hell, he put more heart and effort into those 2 catches than Walker has so far.

Interesting opinion. I think i agree with you that chaz has better big play potential...but there is just something about watkins that makes me think of wes welker when i watch him run routes. Hopefully regardless one of them gets 5th spot and the other is practice squad.

I'd like to see Schilens stick, but Watkins seems to have earned a spot over him in training camp.

i rather keep 6 wrs myself, put Shields on IR the problem with 5 is if you get an injury you are then very very thin

I think both Watkins and Schilens make team. We'll probably carry 6 WR.

if a player goes on IR they are done for the yr. Practice squad would be a option, but ANY team can sign a squad player at any time.

Schilens was impressive. I appreciate heart and he seems to have it. Going over the middle, taking one for the team, thats how you make a squad. If not in Oakland, somewhere. We stick him on the practice squad, he'll get snatched up quick.

I really hoped he would preform. I've liked him from the start.
He showed great hands, elevation and heart on those catches he made. I can almost say for sure that the way walker is playin right now he would have missed those catches.
I would like to see Watkins make the team tho, I think he is a reliable target as well.

At least reserve judgment until the end of preseason.
Man, people are ready to anoint Walter and promote Schilens after two decent performances in the 3rd and 4th quarters of preseason games.
