sounds to me like he's trying to explain why he's not picking up the redskins defense. I predict......CUT!
BTW...you should be yelled at if you line up wrong, idiot!
And any free agent has to unlearn what they learned in another scheme. It really doesn't matter to me but I just think it's funny that stu is already making excuses...like he did here. this guy really fails on the accountability scale. If he worse thing he can come up with his experience in Oakland is the owner yelled at him...then..wow....I gave this guy too much credit.

Oh -- and would you have said that to him during one of those meetings where he hung out with fans and was pleasant to any and all? Just asking...
His play and off the field behavior are two separate things, but really...
What did he say that was so inflammatory? It seems were are looking to make more out of it than what it is...
|
What DID he say again? For starters he said he was happy to be out of here & he keeps runnings his mouth about how he was mishandled in Oakland and trying to put the blame on others for his pisspoor tackling.
If you are saying this to me, how about you say that to everyone else who is rightfully bashing Stu. True he is a nice guy off the field, but on the field, all bets are off. Sounds to me like you are just trying to stick up for a player that deserves no props for his play in the first place.

Just an interesting thought that crossed my mind...
I know I have read a couple who I KNOW were major Stu supporters, that are now acting like they forgot all about their posts just 3-8 months ago.
Too Funny...
Ahhhh Man... Post on though... Post on.

Preach it boss. Hypocrisy is thick here at times. Same people defending bums like Chris Carr, Stu, Kerry Collins, the list goes on. I think the idea is that because we are Raider fans its a sin to point out anything negative about them. Or in some cases people meet these players and say how nice they are and blah blah blah.
Personally me I don't a sh*t about meeting players. I give a sh*t about winning games. Period. Im not saying I would be rude to them but Im just not the player fan groupie type. Not my steez. If I go to a event like the DeAngelo Hall thing Im going to I don't mind asking for a pic with me and my son. But I ain't gonna try and buy the dude a steak or buy him a beer or nothing. F that.
Hey its cool either way. I never saw anything from the Purdue highlights that made me say. Wow that dude is good but Im not Allen Davis and I don't make the picks.
If anybody see's a post where I flip flop please call me out. Right now I am not at all confident in this Offensive line. I think Kwame Harris and Mario Henderson are bums. I think that Cornell Green is a bum. Jake Grove has been a bum so far his whole damn career and he is still taking most of the snaps at center. Robert Gallery was the can't miss franchise left tackle now he is a Guard. And the best Offensive lineman on the entire roster is a ex-Bronco who is in the final year of his contract. I don't think Tom Cable is Jesus. Also I believe he will be out of here next year in Seattle with Mora Jr. We still don't know if the defense can tackle. This is JaMarcus Russell's first year as a starting QB in the NFL. Still lots of regular season question marks about this team.
Every year people predict 8-8 or up. I ain't drinking the grape juice. With this stinking Offensive Line and no dept to it at all. Imagine if Kwame Harris gets hurt. Who steps in at left tackle? Mario Henderson? Some broadie named Seth Wand? LOL. And people are predicting 10 wins. I hope like hell Im wrong. But I don't see this team winning no more than 6 regular season football games. Sorry. JMO. And people always say well we can run. So what happens on 3rd and 9 and the Chargers strong side blitz in the direction of Kwame Harris? LOL. JaMarcus Russell Im praying for you boss.
Call me negative I don't care. I been called worst by much better people. LOL!
After 5 years and 19 there is no water in the glass until I see wins. Don't like it don't read none of my post. Go read happy henrys hotdog predictions. See if I give a f--k.

Other than the fact that he couldn't tackle,
he was a great football player.
I think his nickname should be "whiff," because he whiffed on so many tackles.

Where did he blame others for HIS horrid play? Where did he say, "I blame ________ for my piss poor play? And so, if someone asks him about OAK, is he supposed to shut up? What's wrong with him saying how he feels? Its funny, people are selective on how they react to players. If they say, "Oh, I enjoyed my time in OAK...", the player is classy etc. But if h says something they may not feel is desirable, all of the sudden, "they should just shut the f-up..."
OK -- very logical.

Bashing is one thing, but:
"F*CKING B*TCH!"
and then saying,
"he continues to talk sh*t about us."
OK -- where did he "talk sh*t"? And why is he a "F*CKING B*TCH!"? I'm sure those are guidelines the staff admires, when board members are trying to perpetuate a tough personality, no frills talks in "bashing" a player...
:standing ovations folks:

Do your homework, or read better...
1. I differentiated the off the field behavior to on the field actual performance, and just pointed out that in fact, I would guarantee that such language and angle would never be taken by YOU in context to what I was referring too...
I did say, "His play and off the field behavior are two separate things..."
2. I'm sticking up for him? As evidenced by what?
HA -- it seems like you have no legs to stand on in this argument, and are trying to attribute that angle to me, that, "IM defending him..." and "sticking up for aplayer that deserves no props..."
When I stated in this very thread,
"He's gone. Gooo riddance, onward with the guys we have..."
http://www.raiderfans.net/forum/2734187-post52.html
Oh, and I have stated in the past his deficiencies etc.
Quote:
He was never able to make impact plays in the defensive backfield as a pro and his inability to provide a solid last line of defense versus running backs shooting into the secondary was frustrating for fans during his years as a starter.
Was he to blame for many of the team’s rushing woes? No. But he did not help his cause by taking bad angles and blowing coverage assignments during many significant plays throughout his career
|
Secondary status with Stuart Schweigert gone | Silver and Black Report
He stunk, he had to go, and we upgraded...
So this whole, I'm defending him crap doesnt fly here...
Back to the drawing board.

Yep. If the Raiders start out 0-3 the same people that attend the church of Lane Kiffin will show up to the door step and with pitch forks and shovels. Then the Fire Lane threads will flood the board and BK will have to purchase a new server.
Raiderfans.net Reality TV.
Im telling you we would have better ratings that Howard Stern on SpikeTV.
