Why would I worry about TC?... or pre-season, for that matter?

The only thing that matters starts Sept. 8... then I'll decide weather or not to worry.

I agree that you don't want to read too much into training camp and preseason as it takes time for units, (especially offense), to become cohesive. And they can look sloppy and out of sync initially.

HOWEVER, there's no excuse for our LT to be getting routinely abused especially in one on one drills. I don't care if it's the second day of training camp or not. Can he improve between now and week one? Of course. But there's still cause for concern when you hear about him getting worked with regularity!

Speed - Since when did you start using punctuation?!!? lol

I agree dont get worked up about TC...But on the same hand, the attitude and shape that guys show up to TC in are indicators of how prepared they are to start the season.

and/or bad play by the defensive line...

I don't care much for TC. It doesn't change or affect my opinion(s).

Regardless of what I hear anout our Tackles or OL I still think our pass protection will be a major weakness this year. People rave about Cable yet our pass protection was HORRIBLE last year. We need talent at the tackle positions. Cable can't work miracles with them.

Or it could imply that he's wearing a red jersey and therefore doesn't feel any pressure.

Yeah some guys struggle some guys look good, lets just wait to the season to start and see how it unfolds before we jump to any conclusions. When someone like Burgess is tearing it up on every play that maybe a good sign. However, for the most part guys are going to have good days, then bad days as they get back into the fold,
Correct, but that doesnt mean:
1) people shouldnt be worried about certain things...
2) people shouldnt voice concerns...
3) people should feel confident, or not of certain things...

Every year its the same thing. The sector of fans that overreact, and others that start threads to say not to overreact.

Heck, as fans, we all worried and rightfully about Kwame Harris at LT and that he will be pegged to protect out QBs blindside. We should stil be worried and after a few days in camp, after talking to people and seeing/reading;listening to what has happened...we should be worried.

As for positives we should be happy about and not say, lets not overreact, is the way the D has swagger, how guys like Howard and Morrison are head of the game and how the 2ndary has the right personality in terms of them gelling...

If you have good enough run blocking to produce succesfully on the ground, you dont neccessarily need a strong pass protection. The key is keeping the defenses honest enough to not bring wood in key 3rd downs and such. Lets face it, Sims was not quick enough to keep DE's from flying around him on the strong side, and if we get the season kicked off running strong, D-coordinators will have to lay off the pass rush and play the run. I'm not sold on Kwame either, but a year of him playi9ng LT will make him a pretty good RT next year when we bring in a more talented LT, IMO
