LOL. Al doesn't know what it is either. I think it can most closely be related to bizzaro world.

Less dead weight to lug around through the season. I hope he doesn't land in the AFC West and tortures us for the next few years.

Just sounds like he pissed someone off, and thats there sweet little revenge.
What don't you buy? That Al hung onto him way too long because he actually thought he could get something in return for him? Is that really what you're saying that you don't buy? I don't buy that you don't buy that.

They waited on the off chance that they get something for him. Had some team lost their RB in OTAs or something, all of a sudden LaMont would have been worth something. Look at the situation in Washington, they lost two DEs, had that happened with RBs on some team Davis would have looked like a genius, and what does Al lose by holding him this long? Nada.

You know what, I say bring it. Let him go to a division rival and test our run D. If he truly was the worst offseason RB in the world and is half as bad as most of you make him out to be, we shouldn't be worried, right? I personally think he will have moderate success elewhere if and only if, his back is good to go. Facing his team would be exciting, IMO.

Plus it's not like his departure is leaving a void at that position. We are pretty much set at RB.

You are exactly correct.

I swear, if Mr. Davis had let Jordan go weeks ago, people would be complaining he didn't even try to get anything out of Lamont. And IF we had taken an injury to a RB in camp, then people would have been calling for Mr. Davis' head.

They probably will still if we take an injury, God forbid.

IMHO, we held on because there were still a couple pending opportunities (Saints and somebody else - can't recall who). Those dried up and we let Jordan go. No conspiracies. No vindictiveness. Just business.

Ding. Ding. Ding!

A lot of teams are unsecure at the RB position and are/will be competing heavily throughout training camps. Injury and unexpected poor performances are always popping up this time of year. Al wouold look like he knew what he was doing if this was the case..

I also think Al/Kiff wanted to see what we had in Rankin before Lamont was released..

Good. Now we can put all the drama behind us and move ahead with the RB's that are on our roster.

Its funny, he wasnt a 'bad apple' in terms of what players thought of him, coaches, and how he handled himself internally.

As for 'bad apples', don't get it twisted, there may be some lingering...

Lets not act like all the ills have been cured. Trust me.
