Eric Parker anyone?
Not sure if this has been posted, but here is is a guy I like. Would take him in a heart beat from the Chargers who just released him. Anyone else?

I think he'd be good veteran insurance in case Walker isn't ready to go. He can get you 50 catches and is a decent punt returner plus he'd be reunited with his position coach in Lofton. Rotoworld reported that we may be one of the teams interested in him. He won't have too much trouble finding work.

I'd like to wait and see how the WR's we have in camp turn out first.

god every time a player is let loose we have to have a "Got to have him thread"
The only thing I see he could help us with is the Chargers playbook then cut him loose.
Chargers have not had much of a reputation of having anything other than average WR's it really is sad when your TE and RB have more catches than they do.

Add him with a 1 year contract and see if he makes it through training camp.

Yeah especially when they're the best at their respective positions

He is just a mediocre WR who I dont feel adds much.I would rather see what some of the young guys on the roster do myself

Well if mediocre is averaging over 50 receptions and nearly 700 yards the past four seasons, then our receivers must really suck. LOL

You can look at it the other way because of the lack of productivity from WR is a good reason why they are that good and get that many throws to them.
Face reality, their WR's outside of Tim Dwight (when he was with them) cannot separate from the corners. Which forces the QB to check down to the TE and RB.
That is their offense in a nutshell. So why do we even need him now. Thanks for validating my point.

Maybe it works out, we'll see how the Lofton relationship plays in.

Guess your more a Eric Parker fan than anything else.
50 receptions by a starting WR is equal to that of a TE on most any other team.
Yes, our receivers have not been overly productive and it all starts at the offensive line and QB. Or did you miss that aspect.
Stable line, improved QB productivity should equal more reception opportunities for our WR's

That's not true. When you have two all world skill position guys in LT and Gates your offense is designed to get them the ball. They're not merely check down options. Where did you get that Vincent Jackson can't get seperation? You need to go watch some of the highlights of the Dolts games, particularly the playoffs. Parker got caught in a numbers game, he's still a viable 3rd option in the league.

I didn't miss the aspect that we had dog**** for receivers last year. Not one wideout that could stretch the field. Thanks for the football lesson Capt. Obvious.
