The Raiders will release or trade LaMont Jordan "in the very near future," according to Profootballtalk.com.

It sounds like Jordan won't get the chance to attend practice Friday and have police escort him off the field, as his agent suggested. The Saints and Lions are likely the frontrunners to land Jordan once he's available.
