it's funny how everyone bashes Jordan when he had a pretty productive stint with us with the exception of a major injury and playing behind the worse line in NFL history for a season. So with that said...he does have more trade value because frankly he is better than Kevin Jones and the other rbs out there.

2005 - 1500+ total yards
2006 - got hurt...and line sucked
2007 - was top 10 rusher till he got hurt and lost his starting job for some unnamed reason

he did a crapload more for us that Jerry Porter and Moss combined but he earns all of our venom? It's obvious that he doesn't fit our plans...but memory sure is selective around here.

Hes still here in hopes to get something for him in trade. Its already been reported that the team isnt going to have him in the plans for the future.

Who cares what team he goes to?? KC, Dongver...whatever. Im not worried one bit and Im pretty sure the team isnt either. After 3 or 4 games he'll be out with a back injury.

Personally I think it's ridiculous. Al is apparantley holding on to him because he wants to trade him. For what????? a 7th round pick????? Just cut the man and let him move on and try to find a new team. Lamont stinks and he won't be missed, but it's still not fair to hold on to him when both sides know damn well he won't see any playing time.

Al is paranoid if he is scared of Denver picking him up. Let this dude go already. Sh*t. Like Buck said what the hell are we gonna get for this bum any way? Another 7th round pick? Woopie. Look how long it took for the Raiders to find a Ron Curry with one of those picks. Usually 7th round picks end up working at Target in the department that sales lamps and sh*t. Get the bum off the team and quit f--ing around.

I agree very much. I have never had any bad feelings towards the guy. He did what he could for us. He is a slightly above average running back who is just unfortunate in the fact that he seems to be injury prone.

I appreciate the things he did for us. He is a pretty good back, and if he gets picked up by somebody and can manage to stay healthy he will be a pretty productive back elsewhere as well.

I wish I could find the thread with the pictures that someone took of him at one of the games. The guy was just off by himself, laying down and relaxing while we were losing because he was no longer the starter. He is a cancer to the team, regardless of what he did on the field.

Sure he put up decent numbers the last couple of years, but we have 4 running backs, which means he can leave and we will still be fine. We put up with Jerry Porters crap mostly because we had 3 receivers on the team and no other options.

There are plenty of people to blame for the losing, but if we are starting fresh lets not act like Slowmont is a team player who is just misunderstood. He is nothing but a big flashing sign that says mediocrity is allowed on this team. As long as we are ok with "pretty good" we will get nothing better.

Eaaasy buddy, I never said anything about wanting him to stay on the team or anything of the sort.

All I did was back up a statement that somebody made about how all the hatred toward him is a bit much and that he did well for us while he was here. It was not an endorsement of how awesome he is. Yes he is expendable now, and he will be gone soon. Do I want him to stay? no. Do I have the type of feelings against him that a lot of people seem to? No.

Being off alone and by yourself does not make you a cancer to the team.

exactly. Being the team captain making 20 million and walking through plays and laughing at the head coach....that's a cancer. Flipping off the black hole is a cancer. He was a top 10 back whenever he was in there and he is definitely above average...the stats don't lie. Not liking the guy and him not belonging is one thing..but don't let emotion make you forget that this guy balled in 2005....was a victim in 2006 and was ballin in 2007 too. If you think that he would not have been productive if he started the last 7 games...you're nuts. Kiffin decided to go in another direction and that's cool. But trust me...he will definitely contribute to any team that picks him up.

I think we might be able to actually get a 5th for him because people know he's a hard runner that can catch out of the backfield. Having said that...if we can't work anything out by the start of training camp we need to let the guy go.

And don't forget his little statement about him not needing to study the playbook. Despite what he did on the field, he is a cancer. He doesn't need to be a cancer on the scale of Randy Moss to be considered one himself. The guy is purely mediocre and is ok with it. If you are trying to be a winning team, that is not the kind of guy you want around.

If he contributes somewhere else good for him, but if he was a team guy he would have gotten his starting spot back. Instead he was perfectly happy taking up space on the bench and keeping Michael Bush on the PUP list.

Also, being off by yourself, lounging around on the trainers table kicking back and enjoying yourself, while your team is getting its ass handed to it, is being a cancer. Team players don't do that. He did.

Very good points, I would be glad to keep him as a backup.

That being said, didn't Lane tell him not to bother coming to OTAs? If so isnt that a pretty strong indicator of his chances of being with the Raiders in '08?

If the guy could block(or attempt) he wouldn't irritate me so much. And we would have played a lot more last year. He gave up on the team in Tennessee or maybe he just suxed and it looked like he was not trying.
