The 'legacy' side of me says Chris Long. The 'drama' side of me says Chad Johnson. The 'under appreciated work horse' side of me says Larry Fitzgerald. And the 'nostalgia side of me that wants some of the old days back' (you did say fantasy) says Bo Jackson, Lyle Alzado and John Matuszak

I would take Braylon Edwards. He was the biggest reason why the browns were succesful last year.Did you see that catch against the bengals last year in week 2 where he layed all the way out to make the grab. Dude makes plays.

Sean Taylor...

current NFL players, probably Joe Thomas or Steve Smith. No player is gameplanned around more than Steve Smith.

Vince Wilfork. He would be the massive 2 gap nose tackle we desperately need

No reason to be sorry about it, he wasn't the one who made that call that shafted the team...........I do hope that ref gets herpes of the throat for that call.

I do disagree though that at best he is an above average to great but not superb QB who has played behind a stellar line, when they have a bad game he becomes a mid-factor at best so I would go with either a LT or WR. Either one eliminates some pressure on the rookie QB we have and allows him to develop like the majority of QB's with a good line or quality receivers have in this league. Montana was great, Brady would get raped behind this line with his limited mobility and long reads.

Either Joe Thomas for his youth and ability in a straight protector role or we are allowed to roll back the clock Jonathan Ogden for his tenacity and sheer understanding of his position or Strahan for being excellent against the run as well as the pass which is becoming a rarity in the day of specialization.

If we get a true pipe dream how about the entire Colts or Patriots O-line? That might change our passing woes pretty quickly. Two teams that remember that one fundamental of football, you are a team and need to work as one.

Just an opinion, take for what it is.

If we were 1 player away from getting to the big game these are the players I would go with at these respective positions.

QB- P. Manning
HB- C. Portis
WR- B. Edwards
OT- W. Jones
DE- D. Freeney
DT- A. Haynesworth
MLB- R. Lewis
OLB- D. Ware
CB- T. Newman
S- E. Reed

Phuck Brady, I don't want him anywhere near our stadium unless he's flat on his back with a severe headache.

Albert Haynesworth would be my initial choice however he has nagging injury concerns and there are red flags considering this attitude once he gets his big contract however no one dominates offensive lines in todays NFL like Albert does and he is still fairly young , he would make this defense incredible in freeing up kelly and Burgess with his pressure would give our corner backs ample opportunities

Offensively a Braylon Edwards, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson type receiver would be great for Jamarcus

for the sake of being nostalgic having a safety such as Brian Dawkins in his prime would have been an amazing thing, his black visor, they way he plays like that diving style tackle he did once looked like an animal made him feared in the NFL , he still plays at a high level always wondered what Dawkins would have been like had he been an Oakland Raider
