Knee or not? Arman Shields out of practices
Not a huge blow to the team bu I like the former Richmond Spider.
Schillens apparently can't practice? Read he was a TE in the report but it said theres a rule a player who's school hasn't graduated can't practice? Could use some depth at TE but I like Madsen and think he could make some plays in space if we need. |

Sheild I hope will be fine. The whole wr core looks like crap right now as it is. I have heard very little to be happy about Walker, and the only name that pops up with any type of positivity is sorry ass Drew Carter. The rb's are all we have this year and Miller.

Oakland times reports its Shield's knee and make it seem like its the college injury, but Jerry Mac who's actually pretty tight (as tight as a REPORTER canbe I imagine,) with Oakland and says its reported as a strained hammy.
HUGE difference... Too bad he's missing reps though... Higgins apparently didn't look as good today...damn... Links:Inside The Oakland Raiders - A look inside the world of the highly classified Oakland Raiders from the writers of ANG Newspapers Arman Shields (hamstring) missed his third straight practice, watching Todd Watkins and Chaz Schilens get plenty of work and have some positive moments. LINK:ESPN - Oakland camp notes - Hashmarks By Matt Mosley Raiders rookie WR Arman Shields has missed three straight practices with a knee injury. No surprise. Shields missed all but one game of his senior season with a torn knee ligament. He was a typical boom-or-bust, "measurables" pick by owner Al Davis and may not make the 53-man roster if he can't get healthy. Receiver Johnnie Lee Higgins dropped a few passes in the early session today after performing well Tuesday. Big difference betwixt the two. Not a major deal for Oakland, but I'd like to see the kid get a shot... |

Reece is listed as a TE. I think he has a much better shot at making the team as an H-Back. Shields is missing valuable reps. I'm thinking that this kid is going to wind up on IR. I hope we don't have another Carlos Francis on our hands.

I think some of you are getting it mixed up Shields is the little WR from Richmond and Schailens is the guy from San Diego Chaz looks more like a WR remember madsen is more like a 4.6 guy that is why he was converted to TE (doesnt have the speed to seperate from corners) Chaz is a 4.4 guy so i expect him to stick at WR. Unless wakefield proves he is over his injury and they decide to stick him as blocking TE I see our tes as the same Madsen, Miller, Stewart
