ESPN's - Raider Camp Notes

Quote:
Here's a few tidbits from the first day of the Raiders' minicamp:

Rookie tailback Darren McFadden was used in several formations; including receiver. He caught a long pass from quarterback JaMarcus Russell at one point. McFadden looks like the real deal. He is fast and appears to be a playmaker.

Russell looked shaky at times. He had some deflected passes and still looks out of playing shape.

No. 1 receiver Javon Walker continued to look sluggish. He had difficulty getting separation at times. At the previous camp, Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said Walker, who signed a $55 million deal despite having bad knees, still has a long way to go in his conditioning. It still appears that way.

McFadden & Carter looked good and Russell & Walker looked sluggish to the outside world. The only one that really worries me is Javon Walker. JaMarcus will be fine. Good to hear that Carter & Run DMC are doing well.

Let's see what happens tonight.

Not looking too good when it comes to Walker so far. He is clearly not 100%

Walker is still a good reciever. But not worth what you guys paid for him. But seriously im not trying to troll he will miss more games then he will catch TD passes this year. When healthy walker is the **** but he very rarely is healthy.

I find there is 2 camps right now, those who think russell looked good and those who were not that impressed with him.

Quote:
– Tuesday’s practice had considerably more dropback passes from the quarterbacks than previous sessions attended by the media. Russell did most of his best work in drills and seven-on-sevens, and often misfired during team sessions. -jerry mcdonald.

Quote:
*Russell looked sharp and seemed to be making the right reads. He even practiced looking off receivers when there were no defenders in drills. -jason jones sac bee

You're right. Jerry McDonald and this guy from espn believe he misfired on some of his passes. Jason Jones believes he looked sharp.
I think I'd go with Jerry Mc. Russell probably did well on drills, and struggled during live action. We'll see what reports comeback from tonight.

There should be a forum that you're able to click on titled "Premium"
You click on it and there are some threads there for you. If for some reason you cant find this Forum room, notify one of the mods. I use to have Premium. For us that dont have it, we just wait for the SB Report, Jerry Mc report, amongst others. Look for that forum room, and if you dont have it notify one of the mods.
