...

That being said, Bill williamson, the espn reporter who wrote the article? He spent i think about Five years covering the Broncos. So, he's a Donkey guy.
He's still a reporter, but he might lean against the Raiders after all those years of Bronco Reporting.

Jamarcus is a rookie, so him doing good in drills..shows his mechanics are fine. THATS the hard part. Him ****ing up in regular practice is fine. He's still adjusting to the game speed. It happens. As long as we don't hear him throwing pointless interceptions he's fine.
As long as he is technically sound, which is what Kiffin wants, we will be fine.

Playing weight, will ALWAYS be a topic with him. Even when he's 35 it will be. Media loves to jump on topics. If Kiffin, and Knapp are fine with his weight, and he is? I'm fine with it.
Yep.
There is even a speed difference between the last "real" pre-season game and the Game 1 of the regular season, so imagaine what mini-camp amounts to.

All we'd need is for some of these guys to go regular season game speed and tweek a hamstring. There'd be a billion "I told you so's".

This is the start of long, laborious preperation for the regular season. It's certainly interesting to watch, but nothing to obsess about.

One more comment on that craparticle.

"Russell looked shaky at times. He had some deflected passes and still looks out of playing shape."

1. He's got 2 new top recievers
2. It's mini-camp, not week 17
3 Bill Williamson is not Jerry McDonald, but he's reminding me of Nancy Gay.

Why is ESPN the only one incessant on bashing russel and his weight, when everything everywhere else points to him being dedicated, and in good shape.

If you guys know it's just mini-camp why are you bent about an article written by some media hack? I don't know who is worse, the writer or the fans complaining about the the article...

How about the mods "ban" Nancy Gay, Bill Williamson, and the other hacks to a "special" news section?

You know, one with a padded room and no sharp sissors.

If Bob chooses to do so, then so be it, but since it's not even the pre-season yet, no sense in getting all worked up about some guys opinion on practices in shorts...

bull**** report. Russell is in shape, there is no way he is sluggish. He comes back 10-11 days before everyone got there and is the first one in the mornings and last one to leave. This is according to Kiffin. And now he is sluggish? Bull**** coming from a scared raider hater.

He said sluggish at times and Russell was at times but he is a rookie and will learn from it.

Russell weight will always be an issue until he starts winning so people can forget about his weight and think more about him being a successful QB.

The sluggish talk is funny because I watched every down he played last December and he did not look sluggish at all. By all accounts he is in much better shape now than he was 6 months ago. Go figure.

Yeah "Much Ado About Nothing" in Jerry Macs post he said Javon & Schillens I believe were both going gentle due to their previous injuries. Javon will be ready come season. Last thing I want to see is him go all out before he ready and shred his legs again.

Agreed, but his lack of preparation for OTA's and mini-camp say a lot about his work ethic, injury or no injury.
