In 2007 Aso got a lot of recognition from players and coaches for being a extremely improving player. A lot of it may have gone to his head and he may believe that he can be a stand out guy on a defense. As for the vikings who are running the 4-3 and Darren Sharper seems to be the only guy that is showing what he can do in the backfield. Even while running the nickel formations they are still dominated vertically. Aso would have been signed by them without hesitation in Minnesota. I'd hate to see him go but theres a lot of people that would love him on there team. If he were to go to Minnesota even though it hasn't been in circulation of even being a 'rumor' he would have a pro bowl year without a doubt just because of the people tuning in to see Adrian Peterson then get bored while the defense hits the field and what ya know theres Aso pickin' off Aaron Rogers. If he decides to stay in Oakland we have the best CB tandem hands down. Aso even though your never going to read this. Maybe you will if you turn down the contract and come over here to spam the board. STAY IN OAKLAND! FUDGE ON MINNESOTA!

You could have traded down a few spots or just taken Clady. Sports Illustrated had Clady going 5 to the Chiefs. You probably could have drafted Dorsey like everyone thinks you should have. Instead you drafted a running back when everyone RANTS AND RAVES about Michael Bush. You had Fargas, Bush, Jordan, and Rhodes already why would you waste the 3rd pick in the draft on Mcfadden. But oh well. You guys have holes to fill trading down probably would have been pretty smart......

And as to why I am here.... I really have no clue. I lurk mostly but sometimes i just have to bring you Raiders back to reality....

Friendly reminder- if your here to talk football then good, but if it is just to stir the pot, then you will not be here to long.

Why would you draft a runningback when your O-line is in shambles?? Russell wont have time to use his big arm because nobody can block. When that old koot finally bites the dust it will be the best think that has happened to your franchise in nearly 30 years.
Ahem, Mr. Cutler, apparently your blood sugar is dangerously low.

Along with your IQ.

Yes, very good! The 80's were a long time ago, but the turn of the millenium wasn't.

You chose to selectively omit the turn of the century Raiders who appeared in FOUR consecutive AFC Championship games and went to the Super Bowl.

Our O line is just fine. As you SHOULD know the ZBS doesn't require expensive All Pro linemen to be more than effective. If anyones O line is in trouble its yours.

How many more seasons do you think Tom Nalen is going to play center? Didn't Clady come in to TRY and replace Matt Lepsis?

Your team is one O line injury away from not breaking .500 this year.

Yes, Mr. Davis has made some questionable moves, gambled and lost on occasion, but isn't it true Maurice Clarrett's locker still smells like vodka? Shanrat hasn't exactly put your team in the position of competeting the next 5 seasons has he?

In fact, its safer to say your team is in a desperate situation to win before the wheels fall off in the next few years.

Your going to see why Al Davis drafted Darren McFadden instead of Dorsey, because "THE BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE". Running teams like yours will be forced to abandon the run and face not only our deadly corners and strong cover safeties, but 2 of the best coverage line backers in the game.

You'll also be shocked and horrified to find out they can rush the passer this year too.

"That old coot."

Thats right, keep on underestimating senile ole Al.

No danger there.

Nope Raiders aren't a threat at all.

In fact, you guys don't even need to practive very hard for the season opener...

I'm going to mark this thread. Though I am loathe to gloat and lower myself to that level, I am truly looking forward to the epic beat down Oakland is going to serve you in a few short months.

Get ready for it, but really, why even try?

Since Aso hasnt been signed long term, theres nothing wrong with him not attending minicamp. As long as hes working out on his own and comes prepared at the start of the season, thats all that matters. If he was to get a serious injury, that 10 mill hes gauranteed means nothing.
