F'n Al Davis man! Theres just no way he can keep Watkins and you, were already 50 million dollars over the cap and we havent signed our draft picks yet. McFadden is going to holdout and probably wont be signed till November, and we will have to release every other pick to make room. I tell you man, Al has to go. This is such a joke! |

Al didn't give him this , the "TAG" gives him 10 million. The "market" of the top CB in the league. So from his side, he didn't get anything. He got a tag, and knows he will be around for one more yr. Your are LAME! |

Ok. After the June 1st cuts, are we gonna have enough money to sign Nnamdi, Darren, and our other rookies?

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Has it ever occured to you guys that we won't have the cap room till after June 1st? If he signs his tender we would have to clear the space within 24 hours I think. I'm sure he will sign on June 2nd.
On another note...if we sign him this season or the off-season he will stay. If we franchise tag him again then we for whatever reason don't want him and he would never come back anyway. A franchise tag is always considered a slap in the face by the player. For the owners it allows them to keep a top talent without commiting longterm...considering all our free agent signings this is a good idea for this year. I think we'll have a deal done this year frankly.

People makin' a mountain out of a molehill.
If we're willing to pay him 10 mil to stick around for one year, and have come out and said that we would do it again next season if necessary, it is unlikely that anyone is trying to be cheap about Aso's contract. There are several reasons why Aso might not have signed yet, including him wanting to wait a year to see how much we improve. Possibly the least likely reason that he isn't on a long term deal is that we haven't offered him a lucrative one. |

My impression is that he don't wanna be here. His getting around 10mil guaranteed this year which is pretty damn good for just 1 year so. If he comes out and says he wants elsewhere tag his ass for another year and trade for two 1st rounders, we can't just let these guys walk out for nothing ex. C Wood. If he wanna stay and this organization wants him then be patient and wait till we got the $ after the cuts. But my gut feeling is that he doesn't want to be on this team. I think he knows that the team knows this also, thats why he never signed the tender yet because you can't be traded to another team unless its signed. Also we would decide which team he goes to in a trade situation and everyone wants to control their own destiny. I hope I'm wrong because I really want him to play out his career here.
