I would imagine that after we take out the garbage this weekend, and sign McFadden in the next two weeks, Aso will be signed. If he didn't want to be here I would imagine that he would have signed his tender and left after the season. By not signing it he has left open the opportunity to stay, and will probably end up here. I hope.

It's the same reason he hasn't signed the tender yet; he still wants to negotiate for a long-term deal. If he got a long-term deal like say, Kelly's, which is $17 mil guaranteed over the next few years, that's better than $10 for this year alone. Again, always gotta look at the bottom line guaranteed if you get hurt. Nnamdi will be with the team and he'll be in camp whenever the tender gets signed, no worries. The only worry is what might happen next year. |

Looks like AL offered Aso a huge contract at seasons end.
Aso turned it down for whatever reason. AL hires Hall and everyone else while Aso waits for his blockbuster contract he's never going to get. Aso doesn't want to be here is what it seems like to me. Going to be a fun year to watch those two play corner, but lets be honest with ourselves. you can't keep both. I dont think AL would have went after Hall if Aso was interested. Hall is a replacement. Not this year but next. Just like when c-wood was on the outs we were drafting CB's like crazy while we still had wood on the team. preparing for the future. |

Exactly. Hall said one of the main reasons he came here was the idea of playing with Aso, and said that part of the reason he signed was they promised to work hard on signing Aso too. Sounds like a team player to me, right?

he should sign the tendor then it is a 10 million guaranteed and you can always then sign a long term deal after signing the tendor

Why does everyone say pay the man?Who is to say the team hasnt offered him a fortune and he turned it down.Woodson turned down an offer to be the highest paid at the time. The team may have made great offers and is still talking to him.Bottom line, noneof us know what has been offered or what is going on with his contract talks.I didnt expect him at mini camp nor did anyone else.It will all work out IMO and he will be signed long term or at least sign the tender at some point.Too early to worry about him at this point,it will come down to the wire,it always does.JMHO
