Didn't they run that formation because Arkansas didn't have a good QB??

Although I'm sure we could adapt a version of it...

If you see the Raiders Report this weekend Greg Pappa asks kiffin that very question and he said they pay JR too much to play qb. he said they will line him up at reciever, throw out of the back field and hand him the ball but no qb. but who knows about a trick play here and there, but I dont think you will see it a whole lot.

I dont see that working in the NFL. Maybe on Goaline formations tho where he can react to the defense by either handing it off to Bush or keeping it and goes up th emiddle fo rthe score!!!!!

That and because McFadden was so versatile. Gus Malzahn came in as offensive coordinator in 2006 and had used the formation at his high school some. He thought DMAC would do very well in the formation and he was right.

I don't think McFadden should pass out of it though if we do run it because the cornerbacks are way too quick in this league.

Yeah and Russell is send up front as a 6th offensive lineman. LOL

Seriously might be ok from time to time, but McFadden as to make his mark in an I formation running the ball from a handoff like Kiffin said.

Not as a base.

I agree with trick plays and the like.

With him and Bush being able to throw on occasion though, we may have solved our back up QB problem! JK by the way, no need to freek oot!

maybe he'll be listed on the depth chart as a 3rd QB....that way we can carry an extra player.

Yup. Hopefully we'll run what ever we want and run it successfully on our way to wins!

San Diego looks like the best in the AFC West still, but I detect flaws in their armor.

Rivers has a gimp knee limiting his mobility and Castillo's ankles are in question for a full season at DT.

He's good no doubt, but not from the bench.

Their secondary seems shored a little and the loss of LT's lead blocking FB will be telling.

SHaun Alexander had issues after Mack Strong left (Very nice man) buthen again, he lost Hutch to the vikes as well.

I think they may give our secondary some problems at WR especially if Buster comes along this year.

I think Huff showed last year he is progressing against TE coverage and thats gooood news.
