When BMW was coming out of college.. he was projected a top 4 overall pick...

then the NCAA stepped in and made him stay out a year...

he still gets picked high..

my point is...

I will bet that you were right along with everybody else talking about how good this guy could be...

well he sucks...

point being.. it doesn't matter when you are drafted.. or if you are drafted...

you could be a bust or a success either way...

but if you wanna be pi$$y and get upset that people are talking about an UDFA like he might make the team and contribute..

I hate youtube clips.. I hate highlight clips of players... they all look the same to me..

That's such a tired argument. Sure low draft picks can become great players and high draft picks can be busts but odds are overwhelmingly in favour of the early round picks. Check out the Pro Bowlers in past NFL Drafts. Here is 2004 for example:

2004 NFL Draft - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
13 first rounders have made the Pro Bowl along with 7 from rounds 2-4. Only 1 Pro Bowler in rounds 5-7 and it was a punter, punters have to be really good to be drafted in the first place.

The NFL GMs and coaches that draft and evaluate these players know a lot more that we do. That's why I don't believe that a random guy having a tryout will be a good player. There are plenty of SIGNED Raiders that we can talk about.


What if someone posted a thread saying that he/she believes the Raiders will win the Super Bowl. It is a possiblity, but highly unlikely. Do you think that most people would agree with that poster?

The situation with this player is similar, the facts suggest that he will not make an active NFL roster, but it is still a possibility. The only difference in this situation is that everyone is excited about the guy.
