Is Walter a good enough back up?
I saw some highlights of Andrew Walter in '06 and he looked terrible. I am just thinking, should this guy be the back-up to JaMarcus or should we pick up an experienced QB when the June cuts come around? I personally think we should get another QB in, I would be happy if we got Daunte Cullpepper back. Wasn't Walter seen as a 'saviour' back when he was drafted?

Only the coaching staff and people close to the Raiders org know at this point. He barely played last year and to be honest I can't count 06 against him. NO QB could play in those conditions unless Jesus put on a helmet and went out there.
I wouldn't mind at all seeing Dante come back. He would be a great backup but he might still feel that he can start somewhere....

You CAN'T honestly judge AW till he is given a shot in a system that works and a Oline that isn't a row of turn-styles.
I'm not against bringing in an experianced vet, but I don't see AW as a waste of a roster spot either. I think he would be a competant #2.
2 seasons ago, we Won 2 games because of AW.... not inspite of him.
why this was re-edited to add clips of JR i have NO idea ... but it is VERY poinant.

i am glad most have voted yes, i am of the feeling taht if russell goes down for a significant amount of time we are fuked anyhow. Walter can not be anyworse than pep and mccown were last year. People want to sign Dilfer but he was useless for the niners last year.

Remember, The whole offense stunk it up in 06. I think Walter would make a fine back up QB.
