Question about seating at the Coliseum
We are Chicago Raiders fans and have never ventured to CA for a game. I'm looking at seats for the Monday Night game against the Broncos. My question is how close to the field is too close? Or, is there a too close? I'm looking at field level about row 8 or 10 behind the Raiders sideline. I'm concerned that there might be too much sideline hoopla to actually see whats happening on the field. Can anyone provide some insight?
Thanks!

Get a row after 20.

Row 8-10 is very low behind the Raiders bench great seats if you want to see players close up on the sideline. Bad for watching the game. You might want to see if you can get up to at least row 25.

When I watch, I like getting the first row on the upper level. That way you can see everything. That's my .02 though.

There is a walkway after row 20 so rows 21 and above have the advantage of a little better viewing angle.

That was my next question......The other option is 50 yd line in the first couple rows of the 300 section. Seatdata makes it look like a really good view of the field but is it too high to really see anything?
I know I'm being kind of anal about this but, it would really suck to fly from Chicago and have bad seats.
Thanks again! I truly appreciate the input. It's pretty cool to be able to go straight to the experts!

The 3rd deck is a bit high up not terrible. 50 yard line is very overpriced. For the price 2nd Deck end zones are cheaper. You have a view straight up the field so you can see plays develop etc..

you can't go wrong with the 2nd level - club or not. For the price, probably the best deal in the house.

2nd deck on the 50 is definetely the best seating location. If you're in the first few rows in the upper deck on the 50 you'll be happy though. If you're behind the Raiders bench you will stand the entire game in order to see. I personally don't care for sitting in the end zone because I have a hard time seeing how many yards are gained.

2nd deck on the 50 yard lines are club seats which are twice the price due to club fees though. Yea you get used to the end zone after a while but it is hard to tell yardage sometimes at the other end of the field.

I sit in section 347 in mt. davis.
I spent the 2006 season sitting in various seats in various sections of the Colliseum and finally concluded that the best view for seeing all of the action for all positions (every aspect from offense and defense) is in Mt. Davis.
Too low and you miss parts of the action. Same with being in either endzone.
That's just my opinion though.
